Industry-Academia Interaction with Mr. Shridhara Avabrath of Konkan Railways, Goa.

On 09/01/2022, Poornakash-The training and Placement cell of the institute organised a corporate interaction session for the final year MBA students by Mr. Shridhara Avabrath, Senior Trainer at Konkan Rail Academy, Madgaon, Goa. Mr. Shridhar spoke on the topic “Skilling Managers for professional Success” wherein he gave inputs regarding prerequisites for joining one of the major public sector employers of the nation Indian Railways and also emphasised on the “Konkan Railways” an undertaking and an integral part of the Indian Railways. In his session, Mr. Shridhara highlighted on the achievements and contributions of Konkan Railways to the nation and motivated students to visit the facility at Goa and undergo a rigours training session clubbed with internship opportunity which will serve as a value addition and give them an edge over others while applying for jobs at Indian Railways. His inspiring session highly motivated the students to indulge and interact with great enthusiasm. Dr. Bharath V., Director of the institute. Mr. Shivanand Bhandarkar, faculty coordinator of Poornakash and the Office Manager Mr. Shrihari Rao were present during the session.

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Ashritha M S and Nagashree K taught action songs to the inmates, along with English alphabets, Kannada vocabulary, Numbers from one to twenty and days of a week. Inmates danced for the song “Bumbum Bhole”

Anti-Ragging Cell conducts a skit on the menace of Ragging

 Anti Ragging cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised a Skit programme by the students on the theme of "Prevention of Ragging".  Five teams presented their idea about the problems involved and the ways to overcome ragging through their skit.  The programme was appreciated by the Director of PIM, Dr. Bharath V.  The Anti-ragging committee members along with all the faculty were present on the occasion.

VISIT TO OZANAM-OLD AGE HOME AT KALLIANPUR, UDUPI.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. At the end, the Superior of the Old age home thanked the students for the noble initiative and blessed the students for the great sacrifice.
