Dr Naveen Kumar K R, Associate Professor & IQAC Co-ordinator, Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Udupi has been the resource person at the joint FDP organised by SDM College of Business Management and SDM Post Graduate Centre for Management Studies and Research, Mangalore on July 30 th 2019. The objective of the FDP was to create awareness among the faculty members of both the institutes about NAAC’s Revised Accreditation Framework, 2017.   Dr. Kumar delivered a talk on ‘NAAC New System’. Following the talk, there was an interactive session with the faculty members. The principal of SDM College of Business Management Prof Aruna P. Kamath and Director of SDM Post Graduate Centre for Management Studies and Research Dr. Seema Shenoy were present. Prof Divya Uchil, HOD, Dept of Computer Application, SDM College of Business Management was the co-ordinator of the programme.

Fiona Rodrigus and Cannis Mathias participated in the Young Leaders’ Summit held on 26-28 th July 2019 at Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. In the 3 days Intensive Summit, IIM imparted leadership training on various issues like Startups, Communication Skills, Motivational Training, Leadership, Confidence Building, Panel Discussion, Fireside Chats, Case Study, Business Simulation Games, etc.   The competent resource persons who imparted skills included CEO of Akshaya Patra Foundation, Mr. Sridhar Venkat, Country Director of Google Cloud India, Mr. Nitin Bawankule, Chairman and MD of Nestle India, Mr. Suresh Narayan. It was a rare opportunity to our students to participate in the Panel discussion among FICCI’s Young Leaders Forum.

PIM Faculty, Dr. Sureshramana Mayya participated in the Freshers Day Celebrations conducted by Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Commerce of Govinda Das College, Surathkal on 25th July 2019.

G Suite for Education has been rolled out in all the institutions coming under Poornaprajna College and Post Graduate Centre. Dr. Raghavendra A, Principal of the College addressed the faculty and appealed to communicate only through domain-based email. He also expressed that campus wide email, calendar, cloud sharing, google classroom, unlimited drive – all expected to benefit to the faculty and students. Mr. Atul, faculty and G Suite Administrator of the College conducted a training session about the usage of G suite, which was well appreciated by all the faculty. Sudarshana Homa was conducted in Poornaprajna Institutions on 21 July 2019. The Homa was conducted early morning and Udupi Admar Mutt senior seer Sri Vishwapriya Tirtha Swamiji, who was present at the college, said, “ Sudarshana Homa is a Hindu ritual involving fire. Sudarshana Homam helps a person destroy all the negativity from his/her life. The homam grants cleansing and help in restoring positive energies and health. It also promotes success and provides deep levels of purification. It is believed, once in every 12 years we have to perform Sudarshana Homa”.
