Sudarshana Homam Was Performed At Poornaprajna Campus, Udupi

Sudarshana Homa was conducted in Poornaprajna Institutions on 21 July 2019. The Homa was conducted early morning and Udupi Admar Mutt senior seer Sri Vishwapriya Tirtha Swamiji, who was present at the college, said, “Sudarshana Homa is a Hindu ritual involving fire. Sudarshana Homam helps a person destroy all the negativity from his/her life. The homam grants cleansing and help in restoring positive energies and health. It also promotes success and provides deep levels of purification. It is believed, once in every 12 years we have to perform Sudarshana Homa”. After divine invocation and prayers, Sri Pradeep Kumar, Treasurer and Leading Advocate of Udupi performed the Pooja on behalf of entire Poornaprajna Institutions. Director of the Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Dr. Bharath, Dean of the Institute Dr. Sureshramana Mayya, Senior Faculty Ms. Sujatha, Mr. Santhosh N Prabhu, Sri Shivananda Bhandarkar, Dr. Naveen Kumar, Mr. Ashwin Correa, Principal of Poornaprajna Degree College, Dr. Raghavendra and Vice Principal Dr. Prakash Rao, Senior Faculty Ms. Jayalakshmi, Former Principal Dr. A P Bhat and many other faculties of Degree and Pre-University College were present on that occasion.

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Ashritha M S and Nagashree K taught action songs to the inmates, along with English alphabets, Kannada vocabulary, Numbers from one to twenty and days of a week. Anti-Ragging Cell conducts a skit on the menace of Ragging

 Anti Ragging cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised a Skit programme by the students on the theme of "Prevention of Ragging".  Five teams presented their idea about the problems involved and the ways to overcome ragging through their skit.  The programme was appreciated by the Director of PIM, Dr. Bharath V.  The Anti-ragging committee members along with all the faculty were present on the occasion.

VISIT TO OZANAM-OLD AGE HOME AT KALLIANPUR, UDUPI.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. At the end, the Superior of the Old age home thanked the students for the noble initiative and blessed the students for the great sacrifice.
