Extension Activity : Grama Panchayat functioning Organised by PCRD ; A Research Wing of PIM In association with Azim Premji University

Village Panchayats have been the backbone of the Indian villages since the beginning of the recorded history.  They play a vital role in the development of the villages and thereby contribute towards the overall development of our nation.  In a bid to sensitise the  MBA students of PIM, the PCRD- A Research Wing of PIM organised an extension  programme as a part of the research project sanctioned by Azim Premji University , Bangalore.  On 18 th February 2017 20 students,under the guidance of Professor emeritus Dr. Krishna Kothai were taken to Manipur Grama Panchayat.  Students were surprised to know the representative , regulatory, administrative and service or development functions performed by the Grama Panchayats.  Students had an insight into the functioning of gramapanchayats in promoting health, safety, education, comfort , convenience, economic or social wellbeing of the inhabitants of the Panchayat area.  20 students were the beneficiaries of the programme organised by Dr.Kr

Programme on Career Opportunity and Placement Avenues at PIM, Udupi

Sri Arun Gundmi, Regional Manager, T.I.M.E, Mangalore conducted a programme on Career Opportunity and Placement Avenues at Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 11-02-2017. The Director of the Institute Dr M.R Hegde presided over the function and Dr. Bharath V, Senior Faculty of the Institute  also present on the stage. All the faculty and students were present on this occasion.

A programme on "A Critical Evaluation of Make in India Programme" was held on 08-02-2017 at Prajna Hall of Poornaprajna Institute of Managment. Prof. B. V. Raghunandan, Professor of SVS College, Bantwal conducted the programme. Director of the Institute Dr MR Hegde presided over the function and Dr Bharath V, Senior Faculty of the Institute was also seated on the stage. All and faculty and students were present on this occasion.

Extension Programme : Financial Literacy conducted by Finance Club of PIM in association with Udupi zillah Kanakadasa Seva Samaja Regd.

Finance club of PIM organised an extension programme for the benefit of Kuruba community children on 03 rd  February 2017.  students selected the concept of financial literacy as the theme for the extension activity of their finance club.  60 Students studying in grade 9 th  and 10 th  of Volakadu school belonging to the said community were the beneficiaries.  Students were enlightened about the importance of finance in everyday life. The level of knowledge of students about the sources of finance, financial institutions, different methods of savings and investments were tested through the different games designed by the students of PIM.  Students also distributed stationery items as prizes for the winners in different activities.  18 students of finance club of PIM designed the different games.  Students divided themselves into 4 groups.  Each group was assigned with different parts of developing and administering the programme.  The programme was organised both by the first- and se
