Extension programme organised by the Human Rights Cell of PIM in association with Udupi zilla Kanakadasa Seva Samaja (Regd.)

Human Rights Cell of PIM organised an extension programme for the benefit of children of Kuruba community in association with the Udupi zilla kanakadasa seva samaja .    The students of Human Rights Cell selected “Empowerment of the Weaker Sections of the Society” as the theme for all the programs designed for the children of Kuruba community.    55 students of the said community studying at volakadu school were the beneficiaries of the programme.    The members of human rights cell of PIM made the students of the said community aware about the concept of empowerment through video presentations.    They tried to reach the beneficiaries through their presentations and made their best efforts to make them understand the importance of education as a tool to empowerment of weaker sections.    Human rights cell members spoke about socio economic empowerment, and highlighted its necessity in having better quality of life , in facilitating equal opportunity for the different sections of the

The placement cell of PIM conducted the activity on  Personality development  for the children of Kuruba Community who are studying at Volakadu school , Udupi.  The impact on beneficiaries: ·           Enhancement and grooming of one’s outer and inner self to bring about a positive change to his/her life. ·           enhancing one’s confidence ·           improving communication and language speaking abilities The impact on our students: ·           Inflow of creative ideas ·           Increasing organising skills ·           Enhancing team building capabilities ·           Understanding the value of resources and using them optimally Seven students of PIM designed the whole programme which involved games and interactive sessions .  50 students of the said community were benefitted by the programme.
