Extension Programme conducted by Finance Club of PIM in association with Udupi zillah Kanakadasa Seva Samaja Regd.

As we try to establish good habits in our youth for the developing a strong nation, we must not ignore a vital ingredient: Financial awareness.    Many children go to adult hood devoid of an ability to handle money.    Keeping the importance of financial awareness for children in mind, the finance club of PIM, organised a financial awareness programme for the benefit of children of Kuruba Community on 28/10/2013.    Seven students of PIM designed a programme which included the interactive talk with the children of Kuruba community and enlightened them about the sound money management principles.    A questionnaire was prepared by the students to understand the financial awareness of the children.      Through the programme students engaged 50 children of Kuruba community, understood their level of financial awareness and learnt the better ways of reaching such children with practical examples.    The beneficiaries in turn learnt about the principles of money management and adopting

Training programme on I.B.P.S. (English) by Ms. Lorna D’souza,Trainer and Faculty Orioin Edutech Udupi Centre

Placement Cell of PIM organised a Training Programme on I.B.P.S. ( English) on 24th October 2013 at Prajna Hall of PIM.  Ms. Lorna D'Souza, the Trainer and Faculty Orion Edutech Udupi Centre, along with her Collegues, trained the students in using English language effectively and thereby showed the way of achieving success in IBPS exams.  Faculty Co-ordinator Mr.Chandan Rao co-ordinated the programme which was presided over by the Director of the institution Dr. M.R.Hegde.  

Ashram visit -An initiative of CSR Club of PIM

A VISIT TO BALANIKETAN ASHRAM -AN INITIATIVE OF CSR Club of PIM  A visit to one of the orphanages of Udupi district namely Balaniketan was organised by the CSR Club  PIM on 19th october 2013.  The students of PIM collected old clothes which were in good condition , new clothes, stationery materials, cash and other forms of donations from all the students of PIM and also the faculty members and donated them to the children of Balaniketan ashram .  The activities were carried out by the CSR club memebrs  of PIM with Ms.Anusha, Ms.Amritha, Ms. Shravana as the student coordinators .  The students were effectively guided by Mr.Santhosh N Prabhu  the co-coordinator of CSR Club  and Mrs. Rashmi Y Pai the faculty memebr of the instituiton.  The students and faculty members visited the Ashram and the donations were handed over to the officials in charge of the Ashram by the Director of the institution Dr.M.R.Hegde.  

Extension programme organised by ICT Club of PIM in association with the Udupi Zilla Kanakadasa Seva Samaja Regd.

An extension programme is organised by ICT cell of PIM in association with Udupi Zilla Kanakadasa Seva Samaja for the benefit of children of Kuruba community studying at Volakadu School on 07/10/2013.   The programme was conducted by ICT cell consisting of 16 students .   Theme of the programme was built around on the basics of computer.   As knowledge and usage of computer is pertinent for the development of youth , the students of PIM as per the guidance of staff co-ordinator designed the programme to educate the highschool students of Volakadu school belonging to Kuruba community about the basics of computer.   Computer games were also conducted to attract the children towards the usage of computer and the programme followed with the distribution of sweets to students.   The beneficiaries expressed happiness over the learning while the organisers of the programme could understand the basic background of the children and learnt about the ways of reaching such children .  

PIM Students brought lourels by bagging Prizes in the National Level Paper Presentaiton Competiton.
