  PIM, IPR cell in association with IQAC arranged a programme to inaugurate the IPR cell and workshop on the topic IPRs: Significance for Business and Administration. Mr. Pradeep Kumar well-known advocate of Udupi was the chief guest and speaker for the programme. In his inaugural, he addressed and explained the significance of intellectual property rights in the business and industry. He created an awareness of the management student about each. Staff member and students participated in the discussion. Dr, M .R Hegde director of the institute in his presidential address encouraged the students to go for a creative project and try to get patents. The HR club of Poornaprajna Institute of Management prearranged an extension program ‘IN-SQUARE’ for the students of Udupi Zilla Kanakadasa Seva Samaja Trust on 10 th  February 2014 on INTERPERSONAL SKILLS. Objectives of the program : ·           To build the interpersonal skills of the participants. ·           To enhance the communication skills of the participants. ·           To help participants interpret other individuals. Description/Report : The student co-ordinators displayed a number of infinite squares on the projection screen and asked individual participants to count within one minute. The participants were asked to write down the answer on a sheet and record the same. In this process the individual found it difficult to count the squares as it was little tricky. Immediately the participants were divided into teams and here the group had to count the squares and give away the answer.
