Workshop on " International Human Rights"

A workshop on International Human Rights was conducted by the Human Rights Club of PIM . Every individual is indepedent and is entitled to freedom since birth. But due to the ignorance of few in this regard, people differentiate amongst themselves and create conflicts, thereby humanbeings tend to hate each other" said Dr. Krishna Kothai on the occasion of International Human rights day at Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 31st december 2021 . He was addressing the faculty and students of PIM on the topic "International Human Rights ". The programme was organised by the Human Rights club of PIM in association with the Karnataka Bank and PCRD. The programme was presided by Dr. Bharath V and was attended by all the teaching, nonteaching and students of PIM. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Bharathi Karanth . 2nd year MBA students, Pawan, Suraj, Vidyabhushan, Mayura and Subrahmanya conducted the programme.

LAUNCH OF HR NEWSLETTER 'ETICA'

The newsletter of the HR forum Institute was launched on 23rd December 2021 jointly by the Dr.Bharath V. - Director of the Institute and Ms.Vidya Gomes - Manager L&D, Manipal Technologies Pvt.Ltd.  Speaking on the occasion the Dr. Bharath V. stressed on the need of writing original articles without trying to copy from the internet and related sources. He added that the original research is always having its own relevance when it comes to publications and  and reporting. He wished success to the HR team and recommended that even other stream should start their own newsletter. Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa highlighted the content and contributions to the   newsletter and thanked the various individual   responsible  for the outcome  of the newsletter. Ms. Shrilekha Bhat of II MBA was  felicitated   for emerging  as the winner of PHOTO CONTEST.

WHEEL OF LIFE

  A guest Lecture on ‘WHEEL OF LIFE’ was delivered on 23 rd December 2021 for the Second year MBA students. Ms.Vidya Gomes, Manager- learning & development from Manipal Technologies Pvt. Ltd. was the resource person. Speaking on the occasion Ms.Gomes highlighted the importance of setting goals which was an important task for every individual. She highlighted the different  roles that an individual plays in the course of life time and how every role and area should be balanced in accordance to the priority . adding to this she said that an individual  can be happy and fulfilled if he/she can find the right balance of attention for the the 6 dimensions  viz., career, financial, spiritual, physical, intellectual, family and social. She urged the students to plan the goals accordingly and work towards reaching the goals with sheer  determination  without any compromise. Ms Sharon, compered the guest lecture while Ms.Prathvi Shetty, introduced the guest to the gathering.  Ms.Ramya 

PANEL DISCUSSION AT THE POORNAPRAJNA INSTITTE OF MNAGEMENT

  As a collaborative programme of POORNAPRAJNA ROTARY MANIPAL CENTRE FORSOCIAL EMPOWERMENT,AZIM PREMJI UNIVERSITY,BANGALORE, POORNAPRAJNA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT,KARNATAKA BANK,MANGALORE, 'A PANEL DISCUSSION' was organized at PIM for the benefit of visiting students from Azim Premji University, Bangalore and students and faculty members of PIM on 16-11-2021. Panelists included-Rtn, Dr. Shubha,H.S, Head ,Media Centre, MIC, MAHE, Manipal, Rtn. Renu Jayaram, Chief, Crafts Mantra ,Udupi and Mrs. Sankeerna, a PG student from MIC, Manipal. Dr. Shubha   discussed at length the importance of'' RURAL COMMUNICATION and it's need. She touched upon the positive consequences of proper communication in a country such as India. Mrs.Sankeerna presented her research findings pertaining to Kasaragod district of Kerala, which was further summerised by her guide Dr. Shubha. Fire Safety and Health Safety Awareness Programme at PIM

  A Fire Safety and Health Safety Awareness Programme was organised at PIM on 14 th December, 2021as part of IQAC initiative. Mr Sathyaraj, Fire and Safety Officer, First Neuro Hospital, Padil, Mangalore was the resource person. The resource person briefed the gathering regarding the precautions to be taken in case of fire accidents and demonstrated how to operate various kinds of fire extinguishers. The resource person also highlighted the kind of first aid required in the case of various types of health disasters. All the students and faculty members of the Institute were present during the programme.

A Report on Prajna Vaibhavam – Group Discussion Session 2

Second session of Prajna Vaibhavam for Academic Year 2021-22 was held on 16 th  December, 2021 at Prajna Hall of the Institute. Continuing with Group Discussion which began in the previous session held on 9 th  December, 2021, another three teams performed during the current session. PIM Pays Tribute to CDS General Bipin Rawat

  Poornaprajna Institute of Management (PIM) in association with Poornaprajna College (PPC), Udupi organised a joint programme at Prajna Hall of the Institute on 16 th  December, 2021 to pay tribute to CDS General Bipin Rawat and other military officers who passed away in chopper crash on 8 th  of December, 2021. Col. M S Rawat, Administrative Officer, 21KAR BN NCC was the guest speaker. Dr Bharath V, Director PIM, Dr A Raghavendra, Principal, PPC, Major Prakash Rao, Vice-Principal, PPC, faculty members from PIM and PPC, students of PIM, NCC cadets and students from PPC participated in the programme.

  Prajna Vaibhavam for Academic Year 2021-22 began on 9 th of December, 2021 with a new round of activity i.e. Group Discussion being introduced.
