PANEL DISCUSSION AT THE POORNAPRAJNA INSTITTE OF MNAGEMENT

 As a collaborative programme of POORNAPRAJNA ROTARY MANIPAL CENTRE FORSOCIAL EMPOWERMENT,AZIM PREMJI UNIVERSITY,BANGALORE,POORNAPRAJNA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT,KARNATAKA BANK,MANGALORE,

'A PANEL DISCUSSION' was organized at PIM for the benefit of visiting students from Azim Premji University, Bangalore and students and faculty members of PIM on 16-11-2021.

Panelists included-Rtn, Dr. Shubha,H.S, Head ,Media Centre, MIC, MAHE, Manipal, Rtn. Renu Jayaram, Chief, Crafts Mantra ,Udupi and Mrs. Sankeerna, a PG student from MIC, Manipal.

Dr. Shubha   discussed at length the importance of'' RURAL COMMUNICATION and it's need. She touched upon the positive consequences of proper communication in a country such as India.
Mrs.Sankeerna presented her research findings pertaining to Kasaragod district of Kerala, which was further summerised by her guide Dr. Shubha.

Rtn.Renu Jayaram, spoke about'ENTREPRENUERSHIP', it's need and advantages. She explained about her own Unit-CRAFT MANTRA at length.
Presentations were followed by lively discussions.
Programme was conducted by Dr. Krishna Kothai.

 Visitors were then taken to Manipal Institute of Communication, where Dr Shubha showed them the Library, TV Studio and Community Radio Station. Director of MIC addressed the students.

Then students were taken to Handloom Unit run by Ms. Mahalasa Kini where Ms. Kini explained about the Unit.

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Ashritha M S and Nagashree K taught action songs to the inmates, along with English alphabets, Kannada vocabulary, Numbers from one to twenty and days of a week. Inmates danced for the song “Bumbum Bhole”

Anti-Ragging Cell conducts a skit on the menace of Ragging

 Anti Ragging cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised a Skit programme by the students on the theme of "Prevention of Ragging".  Five teams presented their idea about the problems involved and the ways to overcome ragging through their skit.  The programme was appreciated by the Director of PIM, Dr. Bharath V.  The Anti-ragging committee members along with all the faculty were present on the occasion.

VISIT TO OZANAM-OLD AGE HOME AT KALLIANPUR, UDUPI.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. At the end, the Superior of the Old age home thanked the students for the noble initiative and blessed the students for the great sacrifice.
