   Extension Activity Organised by CSR Club in association with Adarsha Multispeciality Hospital, Udupi                                                              Free Health check-up camp was organized at Sural jointly by Adarsha Hospital and CSR club of PIM on 24 th December 2017.  10 students of CSR club of PIM worked along with the hospital in organizing the programme.  Their work ranged from helping in the loading, unloading of medicines, careful storing and placing of the required medicines in the shelf space provided in the camps, working at registration counters, giving information and guidance to local people and even convincing the local people to attend the health check-up camps.  The students enlightened the local people about the importance of proper diet and exercises in maintaining good health.  Thereby the PIM students contributed to the programme of the creation of health awareness among the people of Sural village.

  An extension programme is organised by ICT cell of PIM in association with Udupi Zilla Kanakadasa Seva Samaja for the benefit of children of Kuruba community studying at Volakadu School on 12/12/2017.   It is important for student to learn Power Point skills right from high schoo.   With practice, by the time they reach university, they will have mastered the art of making effective presentations.   Power point skills are synonymous with presentation success of any kind.   Keeping this in mind the ICT club designed the extension programme on the theme “PPT creation”. 15 students of ICT club educated children about the basics of PPT and trained in effective PPT creations. The students of the said community enjoyed the whole process of learning which was concluded with sweet distribution by the members of ICT club.   

EXTENSION ACTIVITY ORGANISED BY THE HUMAN RESOURCES CLUB IN ASSOCIATION WITH UDUPI ZILLA KANAKADASA SEVA SAMAJA REGD.

The HR club of Poornaprajna Institute of Management designed an event ‘Mine-Field’ for the students of Udupi Zilla Kanakadasa Seva Samaja Trust on 6 th December 2017 on PROBLEM-SOLVING. Objective of the program: ·          To identify problems in the environment. ·          To generate alternatives. ·          To identify a feasible solution. Description/Report : The participants were divided into teams of 3 where one member of the team was blind-folded. The blind-folded person had to clear various barriers and obstacles and reach the end destination. The other 2 members had to stand at the destination and guide their team member to the reach the end point. Only one team out of 4 teams could clear the round and ultimately the same team was declared as the winner. Our Village: Our Planning at Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Udupi

Udupi is unique in many respects, judged by high literacy rates, Udupi the manifested involvement of people in the planning process. That is why "Our Village: Our Planning" was a success in Udupi, said A Srinivas Rao, Chief Planning Officer of Udupi Zilla Panchayath at the Research Workshop held on 5.12.2017 at Poornaprajna Institute of Management. The workshop was held under the auspicious of Ajim Premji University, Bangalore and Poornaprajna Centre for Research and Development.
