Poornaprajna Institute of Management

 A talk on Intellectual Property Rights was arranged at PIM on 5th August 2016 at PIM .  Dr. Krishna Kothai, Professor, Azim Premji University was the resource person for the session.  Dr. Kothai enlightened the students about the concept of IPRS in detail.  The session was presided over by the Director of the institution Dr. M.R. Hegde  and attended by the faculty and students of  PIM.

Programs Conducted by Alumni Association of PIM -2016  The Alumni association of PIM conducted a few competitions for the present batch of MBA students of PIM on 8th saturday 2016.  The different events conducted are : a).Essay Competition b) Creative Advertisement c) Business Quiz  d) Mock Press  e) Pick and Speak f) Best Manager  Mr.Vinayak Pai , Ms.Anitha  Bhat, Ms.Diana Saldanha were the judges for the Mock Press, Pick and Speak and Best Manager events. The internal faculty members of the institution judged the rest of the events. The HR club of Poornaprajna Institute of Management arranged an extension program ‘S-Temperature’ for the students of Udupi Zilla Kanakadasa Seva Samaja Trust on 06 th  October 2016 on STRESS MANAGEMENT. Objective of the program: ·           To manage the stress effectively. ·           To learn stress management techniques. ·           To help identify various sources of stress. Description/Report : The participants were divided into teams and each team was given task which they had to complete within 30 minutes using different hints and clues. The teams used co-ordination and collaboration techniques to complete the task and ultimately reached their goal. The team who reached the goal with minimum time was declared as the winner.   Inauguration of Poornaprajna Institute of Management Alumni Association  The alumni association of Poornaprajna Institute of Management was formally inaugurated on 5th October 2016 at Prajna Hall by His Holiness Shri Shri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji. The alumni association with the following members was formed under the leadership of his holiness Swamiji.   Dr.Mr.R.Hegde, the honorary  President of the alumni association  Dr.Bharath V, the Staff Co-ordinator of Alumni association  Mr.Narasimha S S the Working President of the Alumni association Mr.Girish Aithal Nagoor, the Vice President of the Alumni Association Mr.Pramod shet, the Vice President of the Alumni Association Mrs. Diana Saldanha, the Secretary of the Alumni associaiton Mr.Umesh Badhya, the Joint Secretary of the Alumni association Mr.Sandesh Kumar Mendon, the Joint Secretary of the Alumni Association. Poornaprajna Centre for Research and Development, as an affiliate of Poornaprajna Institute of Management, was inaugurated by the President of Adamar Mutt Education Council His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji of Admar Mutt on 05- 10 2016. After inauguration by lighting the lamp, the respected Swameeji observed that if a teacher can be a researcher also, he can understand all those research truths and can transform them into his students effectively. The Coordinator of the Centre, Dr Krishna Kothai emphasised the importance of research given in various nations. The Secretary of the PIM Dr Chandrashekar insisted that through the new Centre the faculty members and students of PIM should gain more knowledge. Dr MR Hegde, the Director of the Centre welcomed the gathering and mentioned the backdrop of commencement of a new research centre. Student representative Ms Sanjana Nijur conducted the programme and Ms Manasa proposed a vote of thanks.
