Inauguration of Poornaprajna Center for Research and Development and Old Students Association

Poornaprajna Centre for Research and Development, as an affiliate of Poornaprajna Institute of Management, was inaugurated by the President of Adamar Mutt Education Council His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji of Admar Mutt on 05- 10 2016. After inauguration by lighting the lamp, the respected Swameeji observed that if a teacher can be a researcher also, he can understand all those research truths and can transform them into his students effectively.

The Coordinator of the Centre, Dr Krishna Kothai emphasised the importance of research given in various nations. The Secretary of the PIM Dr Chandrashekar insisted that through the new Centre the faculty members and students of PIM should gain more knowledge. Dr MR Hegde, the Director of the Centre welcomed the gathering and mentioned the backdrop of commencement of a new research centre. Student representative Ms Sanjana Nijur conducted the programme and Ms Manasa proposed a vote of thanks.

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Ashritha M S and Nagashree K taught action songs to the inmates, along with English alphabets, Kannada vocabulary, Numbers from one to twenty and days of a week. Inmates danced for the song “Bumbum Bhole”

Anti-Ragging Cell conducts a skit on the menace of Ragging

 Anti Ragging cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised a Skit programme by the students on the theme of "Prevention of Ragging".  Five teams presented their idea about the problems involved and the ways to overcome ragging through their skit.  The programme was appreciated by the Director of PIM, Dr. Bharath V.  The Anti-ragging committee members along with all the faculty were present on the occasion.

VISIT TO OZANAM-OLD AGE HOME AT KALLIANPUR, UDUPI.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. At the end, the Superior of the Old age home thanked the students for the noble initiative and blessed the students for the great sacrifice.
