Poornaprajna Institute of Management

Constitution Day organised in the Institute on 26th November, 2021. Students and staff members have been participated. Student representative Mr. Naveen Bhat, II MBA read out the preamble of the Constitution and all others have taken up the oath. Institution has organised a talk on “Constitution of India”, Dr. P Anantha Krishna Bhat (Rtd. Professor, Canara College, Mangalore) has explained the significance, contents, importances and history of Constitution to the students and staff.

The RADIO LESSON SERIES 'PANCHAYATH PATHA' which was jointly sponsored by RADIO MANIPAL,MIC,MAHE, POORNAPRAJNA ROTARY MANIPAL SOCIAL EMPOWERMENT CENTRE,POORNAPRAJNA CENTRE FOR MANAGEMENT was a very successful venture. We could cover important topics connected with GRAMA PANCHAYAT FUNCTIONING in about FIFTEEN LESSONS. These lessons were relayed twice a week(on Saturdays and Sundays) uninterruptedly. Dr. Rashmi Ammembala and Mr. Manjunath took special care in recording and broadcasting the lesson series with due diligence. We are sure, a large number of radio listeners will have been benefitted out of the Programme.

Human Rights Cell of PIM and Electoral Literacy Club of Poornaprajna College and Post Graduate centre Udupi jointly organised "Inauguration of Electoral Literacy club of PPC" and a Seminar on "Constitution of India at the Prajna Hall of Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 19th November 2021. Dr. P. ananthakrishna Bhat, Retired Professor in Political Science, Canara College, Mangalore was the resource person for the session. Dr. Bhat explained the important aspects of Indian constitution with examples. The Programme was attended by the teaching faculty, students of both Poornaprajna college and PIM.

 Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised a workshop on "Case Method for Future-ready Managers" on 18th November 2021 at Prajna Hall.  Dr. VK Ranjith, Professor, Manipal Institute of Management was the resource person for the workshop.  Dr. Ranjith VK explained the importance of analysis of cases for the MBA students, method of analysis of cases, problems in case analysis, and emphasized vigorous analysis of Case studies for better understanding of managerial concepts and practices for students.  Dr. Ranjith conducted a case study analysis for the students, gave innumerable examples from the business world highlighting the application of management principles and concepts, and explained in depth the utility of case studies in increasing the decision-making abilities of the budding managers.  The workshop was conducted for 2nd  year MBA students.  Dr. Bharath V, director of Poornaprajna Institute of Management presided over the programme.  Dr. Bharathi Karanth, Associate

Shri CA Narasimha Nayak, Treasurer of SIRC, ICAI, Udupi branch donating books to PIM's Director Dr. Bharath V    Udupi Branch of Southern India Regional Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India donated two important books namely Advanced Management Accounting- Part A and Advanced Management Accounting -Part B ( Practice Manual) as reference material for students pursuing MBA at Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 2nd November 2021. These books are the prescribed reference books for the subject of strategic cost management introduced by Mangalore University for the MBA course.  Shri CA Narasimha Nayak, Chairman, SICASA,  Udupi branch of ICAI handed over the books to Dr. Bharath V, Director of PIM.  The co-ordinator of the Finance Forum of PIM, Dr. Bharathi Karanth was also present on the occasion.  Shri CA Narasimha Nayak assured better Industry -Institution interactions by connecting with PIM.
