Dr.VK Ranjith , Professor , Manipal Institute of Management, conducted a one day faculty development programme on the topic “Developing Management Cases” organised by Poornaprajna Institute of Management , Udupi. On 27th July 2022. Faculty members of PIM and Poornaprajna Postgraduate Centre , attended the programme. Dr. Bharathi Karanth was the FDP Coordinator and Dr. Bharath V presided over the programme.

On August 27th 2022, Poornakash, the Training and Placement cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organized a campus placement drive for its final year MBA students in association with KMV financials Bengaluru. KMV financials is a leading financial consultancy services firm offering services in equity space for individuals and entities. Mr. Gopinath, Managing Director and Mr. Raghuttama Acharya, Managing Partner of the organization had come down to the institute to screen the students and recruit the suitable candidates for managerial positions. The screening process included rounds of Group Discussions and Personal Interview. Around 14 final year students participated with great enthusiasm and gave their best possible. It was a day’s process with intense rounds of GD and PI and after the successful completion of the recruitment process Ms. Namitha and Ms. Heera Sanam of final year MBA were recruited by the organization for managerial roles. A corporate interaction session on the topic 'Hedging through Derivatives' was organised by the finance forum students of Poonraprjna Institute of Management on 26th august 2022 at 10.00 am. Mr. Harish B proprietor of Premier Investments ltd., business associate of Motilal Oswal financial services ltd., was the resource person for the session. Mr. Harish B explained the concept of Hedging through practical examples to the students. Hedging attempts to eliminate the volatility associated with the price of an asset by taking offsetting positions in it. Hedging is only for risk management and not for making profits indicated Mr. Harish B in his lecture. The program was attended by all finance students of the institute. Campus to Corporate – Pre-Placement Talk by Mr. Raghuttama Acharya   On 18th August 2022, Poornakash-The Training and Placement Cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised a pre placement motivational talk by Mr. Raghuttam Acharya, Managing Partner of KMV financials Bengaluru. Mr. Raghuttam spoke to students about the career prospects in the financial sector in India, the skill sets required to make a forte into financial organisations and also gave some tips to handle interview questions. It was very interesting and interactive session with active participation from the final year MBA students. The faculty Placement coordinator Mr. Shivanand M. Bhandarkar and the placement advisory committee member Dr.Naveen Kumar K.R.  were present during the session.

Property Pistols Realty Pvt. Ltd. Mumbai- Virtual Campus Placement Drive at PIM Udupi. On 17 th and 18 th of August 2022, Property Pistols realty based out of Mumbai, Maharashtra conducted an online placement drive for students consisting of Group Discussion and Personal interview rounds. 0n August 17 th Group Discussion was scheduled for interested students and the students short listed were later interviewed on 18 th of August for final selection. The final year MBA students Ms. Niditha Shetty and Ms. Heera Sanam bagged the opportunity and were offered the role of Assistant Sales Manager with attractive salary package.

Harsha Retail – Campus Placement Drive for MBA students of PIM Udupi The renowned chain of retail stores Harsha Retail conducted recruitment drive for final year MBA students of Poornaprajna Institute of Management Udupi on for various positions across streams such as HR, Finance and Marketing. The General Manager-HR of Harsha Retail Mr. B.N. Amin coordinated the placement drive and gave a whole hearted support to the students and the institute in smooth conduction of the drive at the corporate office of Harsha Retail on 17th August 2022 Around 25 students enrolled for the drive out of which 11 students were selected for the personal interview after screening. Finally, after the completion of the interview 8 students were selected for various managerial positions at Harsha Retail.

  National Librarian’s day was celebrated at Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 13 th August 2022, to commemorate the 130 th Birth Anniversary of Dr. S.R.Ranganathan, the father of Library Science in India. Dr. Rekha D Pai, Associate Professor, Department of Library and Information Science, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, she highlighted the importance of E- Resources in today’s digital world. She also emphasized how a librarian has to balance between physical resources and e-resources in the library to meet the varied requirements of the library users. Dr. Bharath V, Director of the Institute motivated the students to make best use of all the facilities provided in the Library and emphasized on inculcating reading habits. As a part of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised various competitions to create awareness among students about freedom struggle and the achievements of India after Independence. On 10th August Essay Writing, 11th August Elocution, 12th Drawing, 16th Singing and Skit competitions were organised. Dr. Nirmala Kumari was Chief Guest for price distribution ceremony. Speaking on the occasion she recalled the entry of British into India in the name of trade, how they colonised India, the freedom struggle movement in Indian and the achievements India has made after Independence. On 10th August 2022, the training and placement cell of the Institute Poornakash organised the campus interview drive for final year MBA students. The reputed NBFC of India Muthoot Finance conducted the drive for interested students through multiple screening rounds like Aptitude test, GD and Personal Interview. Mr. Kiran Raj, Hr Manager of Muthoot finance for campus relations and Mr. Vijay Kumar Nair Branch Cluster Manager of Muthoot finance Mangalore were present in the panel of the recruitment drive. Around 20 final year MBA students participated in the drive for the position of Probationary Officer and 14 students were selected by the organisation after the completion of the drive.
