PPC towards user friendly Technology: G Suite for Education implemented in PPC

G Suite for Education has been rolled out in all the institutions coming under Poornaprajna College and Post Graduate Centre. Dr. Raghavendra A, Principal of the College addressed the faculty and appealed to communicate only through domain-based email. He also expressed that campus wide email, calendar, cloud sharing, google classroom, unlimited drive – all expected to benefit to the faculty and students. Mr. Atul, faculty and G Suite Administrator of the College conducted a training session about the usage of G suite, which was well appreciated by all the faculty. The benefits of G Suite for Education include:

Google G Suite for Education is a powerful ecosystem for instruction and learning that provides not only tools for educators and students but also for IT administrators tasked with delivering the requirements demanded by today’s education environments.

Dr. Sureshramana Mayya, Dean of Poornaprajna Institute of Management, gave the required technical support and successfully implemented the G Suite for Education at the Poornaprajna College on 22 July 2019. Dr. Prakash Rao, Vice Principal, Mr. Gopal Gokale, IQAC Coordinator of Poornaprajna College were also assiged the administrative rights and would sholder the responsibility of full utilization of G Suite for Education.

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Ashritha M S and Nagashree K taught action songs to the inmates, along with English alphabets, Kannada vocabulary, Numbers from one to twenty and days of a week. Anti-Ragging Cell conducts a skit on the menace of Ragging

 Anti Ragging cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised a Skit programme by the students on the theme of "Prevention of Ragging".  Five teams presented their idea about the problems involved and the ways to overcome ragging through their skit.  The programme was appreciated by the Director of PIM, Dr. Bharath V.  The Anti-ragging committee members along with all the faculty were present on the occasion.

VISIT TO OZANAM-OLD AGE HOME AT KALLIANPUR, UDUPI.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. At the end, the Superior of the Old age home thanked the students for the noble initiative and blessed the students for the great sacrifice.
