Muthoot M. George Foundation charity for students – Joint Initiative by Poornakash Training and Placement Cell of PIM and Muthoot Finance Mangalore Cluster

09th Nov, 2022 , by PIM Our Institute has always stood firmly with those students who are underprivileged or are in need of help and assistance in any sphere of their academic and personal life. Poornakash -The Training and Placement cell, identified the students who are in need of assistance and made an attempt to approach corporate organisations to lend a helping hand. Muthoot Finance, the well known NBFC of our nation especially their branch in Mangalore stepped forward and joined hands with the Institute to provide help to the deserving students. Mr. Kiran Udupa and Mr. Rathish Bhandary of the batch 2020-22, are two such student beneficiaries who were identified and were provided with financial assistance (received a cheque of Rs 15,000/- each) under Education Charity by Muthoot M. George Foundation’s CSR initiative. Poornaprajna Institute of Management is grateful to Muthoot Finance specially Mr. Prasad Kumar CSR Manager, Mangalore Cluster and Mr. Kiran Raj, HR Manager, Mangalore Cluster for this very kind and humane gesture. The Institute looks forward to help more such deserving students from various walks of life and provide them much required assistance and support in association with Muthoot Finance Ltd.

HALF DAY VISIT TO “MAMATHEYA THOTTILU”

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Ashritha M S and Nagashree K taught action songs to the inmates, along with English alphabets, Kannada vocabulary, Numbers from one to twenty and days of a week. Anti-Ragging Cell conducts a skit on the menace of Ragging

 Anti Ragging cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised a Skit programme by the students on the theme of "Prevention of Ragging".  Five teams presented their idea about the problems involved and the ways to overcome ragging through their skit.  The programme was appreciated by the Director of PIM, Dr. Bharath V.  The Anti-ragging committee members along with all the faculty were present on the occasion.

VISIT TO OZANAM-OLD AGE HOME AT KALLIANPUR, UDUPI.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. At the end, the Superior of the Old age home thanked the students for the noble initiative and blessed the students for the great sacrifice.
