Industry-Academia Interface: PIM with Angel One: Workshop on "Technical Analysis of Financial Markets"

Finance forum of PIM organised a workshop on the topic "Technical Analysis of Financial Markets" for the financial Management specialisation students on 2nd September 2022 . Mr. Varun Devadiga and Mr.Sudhindra S Bhat, authorised partners of Angel One , share brokerage company were the resource persons of the workshop. Mr.Varun and Mr.Sudhindra were the proud alumni members of PIM batch 2017-19. Both the alumni members explained the concept with appropriate illustrations. This workshop was highly appreciated by the students. The workshop which was conducted for 3 hours in the institute has proved to be very valuable and having lot of practical application for finance students. The programme was conducted by Mr.Mayura shetty, secretary of the finance forum of PIM. Dr. Bharath V director of the institute appreciated the efforts of the students and wished them well in their careers. Both the alumni members have expressed their interest in continuing to contribute to the development of PIM by educating finance students about the stock market. Dr. Bharathi Karanth, coordinator of finance forum gave an introduction of Mr.Varun and Mr.Sundhindra and highlighted the contribution of the whole batch 2017-19 towards PIM securing A+ grade in the NAAC assement conducted during their tenure.

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Ashritha M S and Nagashree K taught action songs to the inmates, along with English alphabets, Kannada vocabulary, Numbers from one to twenty and days of a week. Inmates danced for the song “Bumbum Bhole”

Anti-Ragging Cell conducts a skit on the menace of Ragging

 Anti Ragging cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised a Skit programme by the students on the theme of "Prevention of Ragging".  Five teams presented their idea about the problems involved and the ways to overcome ragging through their skit.  The programme was appreciated by the Director of PIM, Dr. Bharath V.  The Anti-ragging committee members along with all the faculty were present on the occasion.

VISIT TO OZANAM-OLD AGE HOME AT KALLIANPUR, UDUPI.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. At the end, the Superior of the Old age home thanked the students for the noble initiative and blessed the students for the great sacrifice.
