INTERNSHIP AT HARSHA (PRAKASH RETAIL PVT. LTD.UDUPI) 13th March 2022 to 21st March 2022

A team of 9 students from final year MBA enrolled and successfully completed an internship at Udupi’s well known FMCD retailer of coastal Karnataka HARSHA for a span of 9 days during their major mega event “HARSHOTSAVA”.  

The team was a mixed bag having students from Marketing and Finance domains. It was a great amount of learning and a tremendous exposure to the functioning of a FMCD major especially during mega campaigns like HARSHOTSAVA. Students thoroughly enjoyed and heavily contributed to the campaign with lot of vigor, passion and bent of mind to learn as much as possible utilizing this wonderful opportunity.

Poornaprajna Institute of Management and Prakash Retail have a MOU which facilitated this internship program for the benefit of the students. The institute is grateful to Mr. B.N. Amin, HR Manager of Harsha for his support and cooperation throughout the internship program.

All student interns and student team leader of Placement Cell – Poornakash, Ms. Sameeksha Prabhu along with her team of student placement coordinators cooperated for smooth completion of the internship program.

HARSHA was kind enough to acknowledge the efforts of the interns with certificates as well as stipend.

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Ashritha M S and Nagashree K taught action songs to the inmates, along with English alphabets, Kannada vocabulary, Numbers from one to twenty and days of a week. Inmates danced for the song “Bumbum Bhole”

Anti-Ragging Cell conducts a skit on the menace of Ragging

 Anti Ragging cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised a Skit programme by the students on the theme of "Prevention of Ragging".  Five teams presented their idea about the problems involved and the ways to overcome ragging through their skit.  The programme was appreciated by the Director of PIM, Dr. Bharath V.  The Anti-ragging committee members along with all the faculty were present on the occasion.

VISIT TO OZANAM-OLD AGE HOME AT KALLIANPUR, UDUPI.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. At the end, the Superior of the Old age home thanked the students for the noble initiative and blessed the students for the great sacrifice.
