Blood donation camp at Poornaprajna Institute of Mangement Udupi.

Poornaprajna Institute of Management, along with Sri Poornaprajna Evening College organized a Blood Donation Camp on 07th March 2021 in the Poornaprajna campus in collaboration with Badagabettu Credit Co-Operative Society, Udupi.




The formal function was presided over by His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji who in his presidential address reiterated the importance of blood donation. He also motivated the students saying that donation blood was the most noble sacrifice among all the donations that an individual can give away.  Even if one cannot create put life into soul of an individual, he/she can save a person’s life by donating the blood on time.



The CEO of Badagabettu Credit Co-Operative Society, Udupi in his expression said that, there is no substitute for blood.  To save a life it is very much important that people voluntarily donate blood from time to time.

Dr. Sukanya Mary J., Principal-Sri Poornaprajna Evening College, Dr. Bharath V., Director-Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Dr. Veena Kumari- Blood Bank, Government Hospital, Udupi were present on the occasion.

Prof. Ramanand Rao welcomed the gathering while Prof. Srilatha Acharya proposed the vote of thanks. Prof. Sowbhagyalakshmi compered the program.



Total of 150 plus units were collected during the camp and Poornaprajna Institute of Management, contributed 20 Units for the same cause.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. HALF DAY VISIT TO “MAMATHEYA THOTTILU”

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Industrial Visit to Medium & Scale Industries of Udupi District 2019

An Industrial Visit was organized for the students of III semester of Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 07 th December 2019 to the Medium and Small Scale Industries of the Udupi district.   First and foremost, the students visited the Dakshina Kannada Co-operative Milk Producers Union Ltd, located in Havanje where the students witnessed an elaborate process of milk processing. The hi-tech production was explained very patiently by Mr Sadananda, the supervisor of the plant, who took the students across the newly inaugurated production unit. He elaborately provided information about the collection, heating, pasteurizing, maintenance, packing and finally distribution of the milk and the milk products. The students were also shown the latest automated technology which required minimum human intervention for milk processing.
