Librarian's Day Celebrated at Poornaprajna Institute of Management

 

Librarian's day was celebrated on the occasion of Padmashree Dr. S R Ranganathan’s 128th birthday on 12.08.2020 at Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Udupi. 


The programme commenced with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Dr. Krishna Kothai. In his inaugural speech, Dr.Krishna Kothai conveyed that there is no end for knowledge – seeking. Remembering Dr. S R Ranganathan’s contribution to library science, he elicited his role in revolutionizing the knowledge management in the entire country.


The Director of the college Dr. Bharath congratulated the librarian for organising the programme in spite of the current pandemic situation and wished him all the best for the future activities.  Both teaching and non-teaching staff along with Mrs. Geetha Librarian of Poornaprajna College offered floral tribute to Padmashree Dr. S R.Ranganathan.


Mr.Purushotham Gowda P C, Librarian - Poornaprajna Institute of Management welcomed the gathering while Mr. Sandesh Jogi delivered the vote of thanks.
