Management Institute was chosen as the participating Unnat Bharat Abhiyan
Program Institute, an initiative of the Ministry of Human Resources
Development, Government of India (http:/unnatbharatabhiyan.gov.in/). PIM has
already adopted five villages according to this project, namely
Shankaranarayana, Halady (76), Ulloor (74), Molahalli, Kulanje. The household
survey was conducted in the village of Shankaranarayana on 22 October 2019,
beginning with Shankaranarauana, PIM students along with Principal Investigator
Dr. Krishna Kothai and Dean of the Institute Dr. Sureshramana Mayya.
The students have collected data and will submit the date based on the
development needs and technical solutions to these villages ' problems.
Unnat Bharat
Abhiyan's goal is to empower higher education institutions to work with rural
India's people to identify development challenges and develop effective
solutions to accelerate sustainable growth. Through leveraging information
institutions to help build an Inclusive India ecosystem, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan
is motivated by the dream of positive change in rural development processes.
It also aims to
create a virtuous cycle between society and an integrated educational system by
providing information and practices for emerging careers and enhancing public
and private sector capacity to respond to rural India's development needs.
Sri Dayananda
Rao, CEO of the Co-Operative Society of Shankar Narayana Milk Producers,
Shankaranarayana provided all the logistical support for the success of the
tour. He demonstrated the way, took the students of the PIM to different parts
of the village and arranged all the excellent food and tiffin arrangements on
behalf of PIM.
