Green Diwali celebrated at Poornaprajna Institute of Management for the consecutive second year

Diwali is the festival season. It's a glorious festival known as the' Festival of Light' because it brightens our lives with happiness. It also symbolizes the victory of good over evil, of light over darkness, of knowledge about ignorance, and of hope over despair.

 Yet today's season has come to symbolize the explosion of loud and light firecrackers as well. But this activity is not without impact, and the pollution caused by the firecrackers is harmful to the environment, whether in the form of noise or water.
The Human Resources Club 'ETICA' organized an Eco-friendly greeting card competition for the I and II year MBA students of Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 24th of October 2019 at 3 pm on account of Green Diwali celebrations. The aim of the competition was to foster creativity in the young minds while keeping in mind the rich traditions and cultures of our great heritage.

A total 19 of teams participated in the competition and all the participants displayed splendid creativity and amazing innovation.

Ms. Krithika & Ms. Anusha, Alumni of Poornaprajna Institute of Management were the judges for the day.

The students showcased excellent creative skills and originality of ideas which was a proof their concern for the nature and building a healthy society for the next generation.
Mr. Ashwith S Shetty and Ms. Minal of II year MBA co-ordinated the event along with the entire team of ETICA.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. HALF DAY VISIT TO “MAMATHEYA THOTTILU”

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Industrial Visit to Medium & Scale Industries of Udupi District 2019

An Industrial Visit was organized for the students of III semester of Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 07 th December 2019 to the Medium and Small Scale Industries of the Udupi district.   First and foremost, the students visited the Dakshina Kannada Co-operative Milk Producers Union Ltd, located in Havanje where the students witnessed an elaborate process of milk processing. The hi-tech production was explained very patiently by Mr Sadananda, the supervisor of the plant, who took the students across the newly inaugurated production unit. He elaborately provided information about the collection, heating, pasteurizing, maintenance, packing and finally distribution of the milk and the milk products. The students were also shown the latest automated technology which required minimum human intervention for milk processing.
