NAAC Orientation to Faculty of SDM College of Business Management Post Graduate Center for Management Studies and research, Mangalore

PIM Institute of Management faculty conduted orientation about the NAAC Process to the faculty members of SDM College of Business Management Post Graduate Center for Management Studies and Research, Mangalore on 2nd August 2019. The orientation was held at 2 pm at Poornaprajna Institute of Management. Dr. Bharath, Director of the Institute explained PIM Journey in the NAAC Process. Dr. Naveen Kumar, Associate Professor and IQAC Coordinator introduced SDM team and appreciated the Team Work of PIM Faculty in the attainment of objective. Dr. Sureshramana Mayya, Dean of the Institute explained in detail the use  of technology and how the effective understanding and sharing of technology among all the stakeholders will help to get good grading. Ms. Sujatha and Mr. Shivananda, faculty of the Institute participated in the discussion. 

 From the SDM College of Post Graduate Center for Management Studies and Research, the team consisted of Director of the Institute Dr. Seema S Shenoy, Dr. Prameela S Shetty, Mrs. Deepa Nayak P, and Mr. Dawn Prakash. The Director of SDM College of Post Graduate Center for Management Studies and Research thanked Dr. Naveen Kumar, PIM Director and Faculty for helping to network and forge the relationship for getting best accomplishments.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. HALF DAY VISIT TO “MAMATHEYA THOTTILU”

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Industrial Visit to Medium & Scale Industries of Udupi District 2019

An Industrial Visit was organized for the students of III semester of Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 07 th December 2019 to the Medium and Small Scale Industries of the Udupi district.   First and foremost, the students visited the Dakshina Kannada Co-operative Milk Producers Union Ltd, located in Havanje where the students witnessed an elaborate process of milk processing. The hi-tech production was explained very patiently by Mr Sadananda, the supervisor of the plant, who took the students across the newly inaugurated production unit. He elaborately provided information about the collection, heating, pasteurizing, maintenance, packing and finally distribution of the milk and the milk products. The students were also shown the latest automated technology which required minimum human intervention for milk processing.
