Poornaprajna Centre for Research, the Research Wing of Pooornaprajna Institute of Management joins hand with Poornprajna College to organise National Seminar

Poornaprajna Centre for Research, a research centre of Poornaprajna Institute of Management collaborated with Poornaprajna College, Udupi to organise a National Seminar on “Innovative Banking in Digital Era”. Dr. Krishna Kothai, Coordinator of Poornaprajna Centre for Research of Poornaprajna Institute of Management delivered the Keynote address in the National Seminar held on 10 April 2019.  Dr. Bharath, Director of Poornaprajna Institute of Management was the Chair Person for the Paper Presentation Session. The seminar was held in the Prajna Hall of Poornaprajna Institute of Management. Dr. Sureshramana Mayya, Dean and Professor of the Institute presided over the technical session titled, “Cyber Crimes - A Growing Threat to Indian Banking Sector”.
The National Seminar was inaugurated by HH Sri Eeshapriaya Theertha Swamiji, Vice President, Udupi Sri Adamar Mutt Education Council, Bangalore. Dr. G. S. Chandrashekar, Hon Secretary, PCMC, Udupi, Dr. Krishna Kothai, Coordinator of PCRD, PIM, Udupi, Dr. B. Jagadeesh Shetty, Rtd. Principal, PPC, Udupi and Mr. Louis Manoj, Secretary, MUCTA were the Chief Guests.Ms. Meenakshi, Faculty of the Department of Commerce welcomed Dr. Kothai.
Dr. A. P. Bhat, Principal of Poornaprajna College, Udupi presided over the function. Mrs. Jayalakshmi, Faculty, Department of Commerce, Poornaprajna College, Udupi was the Organising Secretary.
The National Conference concluded with a formal valedictory, where Dr. AP Bhat, Principal of the College presided over the function, Sri Pradeep Kumar, Hon. Treasurer, PCMC, Udupi was the Chief Guest, Guests of Honour included were Dr. Krishna Kothai, Coordinator, PCRD of PIM, Udupi, Dr. B. Jagadeesh Shetty, Rtd Principal, Mr. B. Sathynarayana, Former HOD of Department of Commerce of PPC, and Mr. Louis Manoj, Secretary, MUCTA.
Mr. Elroy Monis of Staff Training College, Karnataka Bank, Mangalore was the resource person at the Technical Session 1, where Dr. HV, Somayaji, Coordinator of MCom, Poornaprajna College and Post Graduation Center was the Chair Person. Mr. Gurudath Shenoy, Rtd. Assistant General Manager, Vijaya Bank was the Resource Person in the Second Technical Session, viz, “Cyber Crimes – A growing Threat to Indian Banking Sector. Dr. Mayya, Dean, of PIM was the Chair Person. More than 50 Research Papers were being presented in the Conference.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. HALF DAY VISIT TO “MAMATHEYA THOTTILU”

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Industrial Visit to Medium & Scale Industries of Udupi District 2019

An Industrial Visit was organized for the students of III semester of Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 07 th December 2019 to the Medium and Small Scale Industries of the Udupi district.   First and foremost, the students visited the Dakshina Kannada Co-operative Milk Producers Union Ltd, located in Havanje where the students witnessed an elaborate process of milk processing. The hi-tech production was explained very patiently by Mr Sadananda, the supervisor of the plant, who took the students across the newly inaugurated production unit. He elaborately provided information about the collection, heating, pasteurizing, maintenance, packing and finally distribution of the milk and the milk products. The students were also shown the latest automated technology which required minimum human intervention for milk processing.
