i-SAY & IMPACT conducted at Poornaprajna Institute of Management

The Human Resources Club - ETICA of Poornaprajna Institute of Management conducted a communication oriented competition ‘i-SAY & IMPACT' on 01st April 2019 at 3:00 pm for the I MBA students. The aim of the event was to enhance the communication skills and eliminate the stage fear while facing the external milieu.





A total of 10 participants who were shortlisted among 56 students of I MBA presented their views focusing on Following passion, Achieving success through hard work, Role of talent in personality development, Parents as role model and so on.













Following participants were declared as winners:

i-SAY:
First Place: Ashika
Second Place: Shubhang

IMPACT:

First Place: Fiona
Second Place: Vinay

The competition was assessed by Miss Gazala Afsheen Shaikh Ayaz, Digital Marketing Executive – Global Delight Technologies. She is also the proud Alumni of Poornaprajna Institute of Management from the 2016-18 batch. Addressing the students, she said that platforms such as i-SAY and IMPACT help in shaping the personality of the students and on completing MBA the same skills such as communication and taking initiative decides one’s fate in the corporate.




Miss Shalini Bhat compered the program while the event Co-ordinators Miss Nikitha introduced the Guest to the gathering and Miss Mookambika proposed the vote of thanks.




The Director Dr. Bharath V. and the Faculty co-ordinator Mr. Joe Ashwin Correa were present during the event.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. HALF DAY VISIT TO “MAMATHEYA THOTTILU”

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Industrial Visit to Medium & Scale Industries of Udupi District 2019

An Industrial Visit was organized for the students of III semester of Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 07 th December 2019 to the Medium and Small Scale Industries of the Udupi district.   First and foremost, the students visited the Dakshina Kannada Co-operative Milk Producers Union Ltd, located in Havanje where the students witnessed an elaborate process of milk processing. The hi-tech production was explained very patiently by Mr Sadananda, the supervisor of the plant, who took the students across the newly inaugurated production unit. He elaborately provided information about the collection, heating, pasteurizing, maintenance, packing and finally distribution of the milk and the milk products. The students were also shown the latest automated technology which required minimum human intervention for milk processing.
