FINSPARK 2K19 : INTER-CLASS FINANCE COMPETITION ORGANISED BY FINBHODHI , THE FINANCE FORUM OF PIM

            The Finance Forum Conducted FinSpark2k19-Where you can blaze the Wisdom of Finance, an inter-class fest at Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 13th of April 2019.The Finance Faculty Coordinator Dr. Bharathi Karanth, along with the student co-ordinators Mr. Sudhindar. S.Bhat, Miss. Jackline Nikita, Miss Ashmitha, Mr. Jnanesh, Mr. Varun, Miss.Roshni and Miss Annapoorna took a lead in the event. Further all the Finance forum students were equally liable for each and every activity that had taken place on that day.
             The event began at 10:15 am in Prajna Hall. All the Coordinators, Staff and students were present at the event.  Miss Jackline Nikita of 2nd MBA, the student co-ordinator of Finance forum Was the master of ceremony. A total of 12 group consisting of 4 member each participated in the event. The first round was termed as the Maze Runner. This event was Conducted by Miss. Shalika and Miss. Saniha. Maze runner is nothing but how in a maze there will be lots of obstacles coming, the runner needs to move ahead in order to reach his goal. In the same way, here the students were asked to multi-task. A total of 30 min was allotted for this Event. Simple aptitude questions were given to solve, a small problem was given and then they were asked to Prepare P&L a/c and Balance Sheet, Simultaneously PPT quiz was conducted and Sudoku was given for the contestants to solve. There was no elimination in this round.

             The Recording and correction Committee included Miss.Kruthika S.P, Mr.Adarsh,Miss. Prapthi Shetty, Miss. Acquilla, Miss. Supreetha , Mr. Sandeep.K and Miss. Priya.

            The second Round was termed as The Interpreter. This was conducted by Miss. Ashmitha and Miss. Alwina Interpreter here meant that a financial term would be depicted through a picture and the teams had to guess the correct financial term. There was 2 elimination after this round and only 10 teams entered the next level.

            The 3rd round was conducted by Mr. Rakesh and Miss. Annapoorna. This round was termed as Terminator. Here the Acronyms relating to finance was given with options and the team had to give the correct answer. There was no elimination in this round but the points were considered.

            The 4Th round was the Very interesting Bidding round. It was conducted by Mr. Sudhindra and  this round was termed as Infinity war. Here one concept realting to finance was shown like RBI, SEBI, Stock Market, etc. the teams had to bid for questions . amnd the etam that bids the highest was given the question. After this particular round 5 gteams were eliminated.

            In between spot games were conducted by Miss. Roshni and Special numbers were sung by Miss Shwetha and Mr. Subramanya to entertain the audience.

            The final round was Treasure Hunt. This was conducted with the assistance and Support of the whole finance team. Various clues were given and the teams were asked to crack them. They had to collect all the different clues from various spots and places further they had to perform certain task in order to find the next clues. The teams were given different names and finally the treasure was found by the team Golden Diggers.

            Valedictory Ceremony was Conducted at 12:30 pm in Prajna Hall. Dr. M.R.Hedge the founder Director of PIM was the chief guest for this programme. Director Dr. Bharath .V presided over the programme . Dean Dr. Suresh Ramana Mayya, Other faculties , Non-teaching staff and students were present for the programme. All the guests were escorted to the dais and welcomed florally. Chief guest Dr. M.R.Hedge, Director Dr.Bharath V addressed the gathering. Faculty in Charge of the Finance Forum Dr. Bharathi Karanth Expressed her views and added the gathering.

            A rolling trophy was sponsored by the Finance Forum Students namely Mr. Sudhindra.S. Bhat, Misss Jackline Nikita and Miss. Roshni Quadras. This trophy along with Gold medals and certificate was handed over to the winners of the FINSPARK2K19 “Golden Diggers” consisting of 4 members namely Mr. Trivikram Nayak, Miss.Mahima Deshpande, Miss.Krithika Bangera and Miss.Anusha Salian of 2nd MBA. Other 5 teams who entered the treasure hunt round were also recignised with small present.

             The Highest correct answer for Arthaprajna Volume-10 was given by Shayma sunder. This was Recognised by handing him a trophy and other students who have answerd were also given the prizes and encouraged.

             The best artist award was Given to Sudhindra Bhat and Best Technician Award was given to Mr. Jnanesh.

Formal vote of thnks was made by Miss. Annapoorna of 2nd MBA.

With this the FINSPARK2K19 came to an end. All the beautiful moments were very well captured  by Mr. Sooraj Shetty though his photography .

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. At the end, the Superior of the Old age home thanked the students for the noble initiative and blessed the students for the great sacrifice. HALF DAY VISIT TO “MAMATHEYA THOTTILU”

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Industrial Visit to Medium & Scale Industries of Udupi District 2019

An Industrial Visit was organized for the students of III semester of Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 07 th December 2019 to the Medium and Small Scale Industries of the Udupi district.   First and foremost, the students visited the Dakshina Kannada Co-operative Milk Producers Union Ltd, located in Havanje where the students witnessed an elaborate process of milk processing. The hi-tech production was explained very patiently by Mr Sadananda, the supervisor of the plant, who took the students across the newly inaugurated production unit. He elaborately provided information about the collection, heating, pasteurizing, maintenance, packing and finally distribution of the milk and the milk products. The students were also shown the latest automated technology which required minimum human intervention for milk processing.
