Parent Teachers Meeting held at Poornaprajna Institute of Management

The Parent Teachers Meet was held at PIM on 09-02-2019. A large number of parents attended the programme. This meet had the following objectives.
1.      To help the parents realize and understand their roles in promoting MBA Education
2.      To help the parents to understand the developments at PIM
3.      To seek parents cooperation and involvement in the Management Education at PIM

On this occasion, Dr. Bharath, Director of the Institute explained in detail the developments at PIM. He dwelt in detail the quality initiatives of PIM, the role of parents, the placement activities and appealed the parents towards the integrated development of the institution.
Later, Dr. Sureshramana Mayya, Dean of PIM explained in detail about the process of undergoing NAAC accreditation of PIM, the expectations of accreditation, the changes initiated by the Management of the institution, and he appealed the parents to observe the website of PIM for the latest developments. He also explained in detail about the placement activities of the Institute, the results, the activities carried out throughout the year, also appealed them to visit frequently to know about the developments of their children. He also requested them to give feedback which will help the institution to improve and sustain its quality.
The queries were resolved to the satisfaction level  of parents by Dr. Bharath and Dr. Sureshramana Mayya.
All the members of Parents and faculty introduced themselves.. Dr. Naveen also interreacted with parents and proposed a vote of thanks. Dr. Bharathi Karanth, Dr. Naveen Kumar, Mr. Ashwin, Mr. Shiv Bhandarkar and Ms. Sujatha were present at the meeting and interacted with students and parents expressed satisfaction for the efforts taken by PIM faculty towards the progress of their children and requested to make the ward more disciplined and responsible person.

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Ashritha M S and Nagashree K taught action songs to the inmates, along with English alphabets, Kannada vocabulary, Numbers from one to twenty and days of a week. Inmates danced for the song “Bumbum Bhole”

Anti-Ragging Cell conducts a skit on the menace of Ragging

 Anti Ragging cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised a Skit programme by the students on the theme of "Prevention of Ragging".  Five teams presented their idea about the problems involved and the ways to overcome ragging through their skit.  The programme was appreciated by the Director of PIM, Dr. Bharath V.  The Anti-ragging committee members along with all the faculty were present on the occasion.

VISIT TO OZANAM-OLD AGE HOME AT KALLIANPUR, UDUPI.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. At the end, the Superior of the Old age home thanked the students for the noble initiative and blessed the students for the great sacrifice.
