Craft Studio conducted at Poornaprajna Institute of Management

The HR Club of Poornaprajna Institute of Management ‘ETICA’ conducted a competition ‘Craft Studio’ for the students of I and II Year MBA. The aim of the event was to bring awareness among the students towards Healthy and eco-friendly practices and stimulate creativity and innovation.



In his opening comments the Chief Guest Dr. Krishna Kothai said that water will be a highly precious resource in the near future and how it is been misused and badly managed. He also said that the youth should have more sensitivity towards nature and natural resources as one day, we may not find them around us. In his speech he stressed on the importance of Effective water management practices. 


This was followed by the announcing of rules on the theme ‘Eco friendly HR practices.' Soon after this basic materials were handed over to all the participants which included both I and II year MBA who participated with wholesome energy and came out with creative and innovative ideas from the materials provided.











The judges for the day were Miss Apoorva, Faculty-Department of Commerce from Poornaprajna College and Dr. Naveen Kumar K.R., Associate Professor at Poornaprajna Institute of Management who did not forget to appreciate the creative craft work of the students apart from the evaluation.




The event concluded with the declaration of winners, which were as follows:

 I Place:      Roshni, Saniha Rao, Annapoorna, Kruthika S.P. of II MBA
II Place:    Prapthi Shetty, Ashmitha, Nishitha Salian, Carol of II MBA
III Place:  Canis, Prajna, Arpitha, Roshini of I MBA

Miss Anusha compered  the program while Miss Mahima and Miss Pratiksha coordinated the event.

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Ashritha M S and Nagashree K taught action songs to the inmates, along with English alphabets, Kannada vocabulary, Numbers from one to twenty and days of a week. Inmates danced for the song “Bumbum Bhole”

Anti-Ragging Cell conducts a skit on the menace of Ragging

 Anti Ragging cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised a Skit programme by the students on the theme of "Prevention of Ragging".  Five teams presented their idea about the problems involved and the ways to overcome ragging through their skit.  The programme was appreciated by the Director of PIM, Dr. Bharath V.  The Anti-ragging committee members along with all the faculty were present on the occasion.

VISIT TO OZANAM-OLD AGE HOME AT KALLIANPUR, UDUPI.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. At the end, the Superior of the Old age home thanked the students for the noble initiative and blessed the students for the great sacrifice.
