Visit to Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal by the HR club of Poornaprajna Institute of Management.

The students of the HR Club of Poornaprajana Institute of Management visited Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) formerly branded by Manipal University. The main objective of the visit was to enhance the practical exposure and to have  an overview on the diversified activities of the MAHE.

On March 1st 2018, the Students visited the MAHE campus which is a private research institute deemed to be University located in the university town of Manipal, Udupi.



   The students visited the Audio Visual Theatre which speaks about the history of Manipal right from Dr.T.M.A. Pai to Dr. Ramdas Pai.





















The MAHE offers programmes in the areas of allied health, architecture, basic and advanced sciences, communication, dental science, engineering, European studies and foreign languages, geo-politics and international relations, hospitality, humanities, information sciences, life sciences, management medicine, natural sciences, nursing, pharmacy, public health and regenerative medicine.

The students also visited the Library which comprises 6 libraries spread across its medical and engineering school campuses. The largest library among them is the health science library located in the main building. 

Finally the students visited the Medical Simulation Centre which uses training manikins to reach healthcare students the skill to manage real-life emergencies.











Not only students, but others like the police personnel, fire fighters, ambulance drivers and general public are also trained here.

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Ashritha M S and Nagashree K taught action songs to the inmates, along with English alphabets, Kannada vocabulary, Numbers from one to twenty and days of a week. Inmates danced for the song “Bumbum Bhole”

Anti-Ragging Cell conducts a skit on the menace of Ragging

 Anti Ragging cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised a Skit programme by the students on the theme of "Prevention of Ragging".  Five teams presented their idea about the problems involved and the ways to overcome ragging through their skit.  The programme was appreciated by the Director of PIM, Dr. Bharath V.  The Anti-ragging committee members along with all the faculty were present on the occasion.

VISIT TO OZANAM-OLD AGE HOME AT KALLIANPUR, UDUPI.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. At the end, the Superior of the Old age home thanked the students for the noble initiative and blessed the students for the great sacrifice.
