Visit to Asha Nilaya by HR Club of Poornaprajna Institute of Management

The students of the HR Club of Poornaprajna Institute of Management from II MBA regular as well as dual specialization students accompanied the faculty members to ASHA NILAYA- Special school at Udupi on  24th March, 2018.  Asha Nilaya is a residential school and occasional rehabilitation centre for the special children located at Udupi, Karnataka. The main objective of the visit was to mingle with the special children and to bring smiles on their faces by the ways possible.  




           The programme was held and arranged  in the main hall of the Asha Nilaya School. The programme started with the group prayer followed by  welcome address by Miss Priyanka. Then the stage was open for the entertainment and this was initiated by Miss Mishal by her action song.This initiation brought energy to everyone gathered there and this led to beautiful open interaction with the special children.
            


 This programme gave opportunity for everyone to enjoy with the beautiful special children and even they enjoyed our company.

             And this way, a beautiful interaction reached its logical conclusion. At this point snacks, fruits and a smiley ball was distributed to each and every special child of Asha Nilaya. 







Before visiting Asha Nilaya a voluntary fund collection was planned and a good amount of money was raised with the aid of many helping hands from Poornaprajana Institute of Management. A cash fund amounting to Rs. 5,000 was handed over by the student representatives to the warden of Asha Nilaya during the programme.


 The Director of the Institute Dr. Bharath V., Mr. Santhosh Prabhu and Mr.Ashwin Correa were present on this occasion. Miss Ramya and Miss Nireeksha Compered the Program.

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Ashritha M S and Nagashree K taught action songs to the inmates, along with English alphabets, Kannada vocabulary, Numbers from one to twenty and days of a week. Inmates danced for the song “Bumbum Bhole”

Anti-Ragging Cell conducts a skit on the menace of Ragging

 Anti Ragging cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised a Skit programme by the students on the theme of "Prevention of Ragging".  Five teams presented their idea about the problems involved and the ways to overcome ragging through their skit.  The programme was appreciated by the Director of PIM, Dr. Bharath V.  The Anti-ragging committee members along with all the faculty were present on the occasion.

VISIT TO OZANAM-OLD AGE HOME AT KALLIANPUR, UDUPI.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. At the end, the Superior of the Old age home thanked the students for the noble initiative and blessed the students for the great sacrifice.
