Poornaprajna Centre for Research and Development (PCRD) of Poornaprajna Institute of Management joined hands with Udupi District Administration, Udupi Zilla Panchayath, Taluk Panchayats of Kundapur, Udupi, Karkal and Kundapur Taluk Panchayath Raj Federation, Gram Panchayath Hakkothaya Andolan, Karnataka in organizing a Two Day workshop on Gram Swaraj Chinthana Manthana between 23-2-2018 and 24-02-2018 at Zilla Panchayath Udupi in commemoration of the 73rd Constitution Amendment- its 25th Year. Various peoples representatives, ministers, experts in Panchayath Raj Institutions, representatives from NGOs took part in the workshop. Dr Krishna Koathi, Coordinator PCRD handled a session on “Rural Development In the Context of Panchayath Raj Institutions – its Challenges. Dr Meenakshi Sundram, an expert in the field of Panchayati Raj Insitions, Shri Vijayanand, Rtd. Chief Secretary, Govt of Kerala, Ms Nandana Reddy, Member, Karnataka Panchayath Raj Amendment Committee and others participated. Mr H. S. Aschokanand, Sri S. Janardhan, Dr K. Geersan, Dr Joes Chathakulam and others participated.

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Ashritha M S and Nagashree K taught action songs to the inmates, along with English alphabets, Kannada vocabulary, Numbers from one to twenty and days of a week. Inmates danced for the song “Bumbum Bhole”

Anti-Ragging Cell conducts a skit on the menace of Ragging

 Anti Ragging cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised a Skit programme by the students on the theme of "Prevention of Ragging".  Five teams presented their idea about the problems involved and the ways to overcome ragging through their skit.  The programme was appreciated by the Director of PIM, Dr. Bharath V.  The Anti-ragging committee members along with all the faculty were present on the occasion.

VISIT TO OZANAM-OLD AGE HOME AT KALLIANPUR, UDUPI.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. At the end, the Superior of the Old age home thanked the students for the noble initiative and blessed the students for the great sacrifice.
