Ample Career Opportunities for MBA Graduates : Sri U. S. Sridhar

Udupi: A Special Guest Lecture session was organized on 25.8.2014 at Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Udupi, recently on the topic “Role of Skill Development and Career Opportunities for MBA Graduates”. Mr. U. S. Sridhar from Mumbai was the resource person. In his special guest lecture, he elucidated the importance of skill development in Management Education in preparing the successful future managers. Mr. U. S. Shridhar, who has more than four decades of very rich industrial experience in prominent industries such as IBM, L&T and LAKME, pointed out that there is no paucity of career opportunities for MBA Graduates in India. All that is required is the development of Communication Skill, Computer Skill and other Soft Skills in the MBA students.


The programme was presided over by the Director of PIM Dr. M. R. Hegde. The students of PIM successfully organized this function. Ms. Neha Petankar welcomed the guest and Mr. Abilash proposed vote of thanks. Ms. Bhargavi Bhat conducted the programme.

 ಉಡುಪಿ: ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಜ್ಞ ಇನ್‍ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್ ಆಫ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್‍ಮೆ0ಟ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ, ಇತ್ತೇಚಿಗೆ ಮುಂಬೈಯ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಉದ್ಯಮ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಯು. ಎಸ್. ಶ್ರೀಧರ್‍ರವರು “ಭಾರತೀಯ ಉದ್ಯಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂ.ಬಿ.ಎ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗಿರುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿರಬೇಕಾದ ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳು” ಎಂಬ ಕುರಿತು ವಿಶೇಷ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಮುಂಬೈ ಮೂಲದ ಹಲವು ಮಹತ್ವದ ಉದ್ಯಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಶಕಗಳಿಗೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಕಾಲ ಉನ್ನತ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿರುವ ಶ್ರೀಯುತ ಯು. ಎಸ್. ಶ್ರೀಧರ್‍ರವರು ಪಿ.ಐ.ಎಮ್.ನ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಇಂದಿನ ಉದ್ಯಮಗಳು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವ ವಿವಿಧ  ಕೌಶಲ್ಯಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಉತ್ತಮ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಐ.ಬಿ.ಎಮ್., ಎಲ್ ಆಂಡ್ ಟಿ, ಲಾಕ್ಮೆಗಳಂತಹ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಿತ ಉದ್ಯಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿನ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಅನುಭವಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡರು.
ಪಿ.ಐ.ಎಂ.ನ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಡಾ|ಎಂ.ಆರ್.ಹೆಗಡೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಎಂ.ಬಿ.ಎ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಾದ ಕುಮಾರಿ ನೇಹಾ ಸ್ವಾಗತಿಸಿ, ಶ್ರೀ ಅಭಿಲಾಷ್ ವಂದನಾರ್ಪಣೆಗೈದ, ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯನ್ನು ಕುಮಾರಿ ಭಾರ್ಗವಿ ಭಟ್  ಮಾಡಿದರು.

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Ashritha M S and Nagashree K taught action songs to the inmates, along with English alphabets, Kannada vocabulary, Numbers from one to twenty and days of a week. Inmates danced for the song “Bumbum Bhole”

Anti-Ragging Cell conducts a skit on the menace of Ragging

 Anti Ragging cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised a Skit programme by the students on the theme of "Prevention of Ragging".  Five teams presented their idea about the problems involved and the ways to overcome ragging through their skit.  The programme was appreciated by the Director of PIM, Dr. Bharath V.  The Anti-ragging committee members along with all the faculty were present on the occasion.

VISIT TO OZANAM-OLD AGE HOME AT KALLIANPUR, UDUPI.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. At the end, the Superior of the Old age home thanked the students for the noble initiative and blessed the students for the great sacrifice.
