Human Rights cell of PIM conducted a programme on the theme ‘ constitutional awareness ” for the benefit of children of Kuruba community on 24/10/17.    The programme was carried out in accordance with the MOU with Udupi Zilla Kanakadasa Seva    Samaja.    The programme was designed by 13 students belonging to first and second year MBA of PIM.    Human Rights cell members emphasized that constitutional awareness results in empowerment and it will also control the number of crimes in the society.    With this point in mind, the students made PPT presentations, conducted games and distributed prizes also for the winners.  

A freshers day program 'AARAMBH 2017' was conducted by the HR Forum along with other forums of the college  on 13th October 2017. An extension programme was organised by Poornaprajna Centre for Research and Development as a part of research project granted by Azim Premji University on 14/10/2017. In a planned trip, 19 students of PIM were taken to Manipur Grama Panchayat to learn the functioning of the Grama Panchayats.   The president, secretary and the staff of Manipur Grama Panchayat along with the Co-ordinator of the Research Centre, Dr. Krishna Kothai enlightened the students about the usefulness of the Gramapanchayat, its functioning , members of the panchayat etc.   Project officer Mr.Shashank along with few faculty members organised the programme for sensitising the students to the needs of rural India and the hurdles faced in the path of development.  

PIM through PCRD conducted a workshop for the representatives of Shrishakthi Federation at PIM. The programme was conducted at the instance of the Department of Women and Child Development, Udupi. The Director of the Institute participated apart from the Coordinator Dr Krishna Kothai. Dr. Naveen Kumar and Santhosh Prabhu handled sessions for the Trainees. MBA students. Second Year MBA Ms. Ramya and Ms. Ankitha handled sessions apart from other students taking part, From the department, Deputy Director, Ms. Gracy Gonslavis and other Officials participated. Dr. M. R. Hegde, Joint Secretary, PIM Management participated in the session.

Finance Forum of PIM organised a Corporate Interaction Session on the Topic " Investment Awareness" at PIM on June 10th 2017 at Prajna Hall.  This BSE sponsored Investment Awareness Programme was conducted by Mr. Badrinarayan , Senior Consultant of Bombay Stock Exchange.  The programme was attended by first year and second year students of PIM.  Dr. Bharath V the director of PIM presided over the session.  Mr. Shivanada Bhandarkar, Mr. Joe Ashwin Correa   and the coordinator of finance club Mrs. Bharathi Karanth attended the programme.  

A corporate talk on GST was organised by the Finance Forum of PIM on 28th September 2017 at Prajna Hall .  Mr.CA Lokesh Shetty, the Partner BVC company, Bangalore was the resource person for the session.  Mr.CA Lokesh Shetty explained in depth the different aspects and implementation of GST .  The programme was attended by all the MBA students along with the faculty members.  Director of the institution Dr.Bharath V presided over the session.  Ms. Aparna Rao, Ms. Priyanka Sridhar students of 2nd year MBA conducted the programme .

It wan an unusual experience for the faculty of PIM, the  students of MBA celebrated Teachers Day in an unique manner, They conducted many games for the faculty, it was their turn to make the teachers to act according to their games. They also distributed prizes to wining faculty in the games conducted by them. They did not forget to distribute the sweets after the programme. The programme was conducted on 5-9-2017 at Poornaprajna Institute of Management. The Non-Teaching Staff of the Institute also participated in the event.
