The placement cell of PIM conducted the activity on  Aptitude test  for the benefit of children of Kuruba community studying in the Volakadu school on 19/12/2014.  The programme involved efforts to raise the level of aptitude of children and thereby to see that their career goals become self dictated.  22 students of PIM divided themselves into 5 groups and administered the aptitude tests to 55 students of the community.  The impact on beneficiaries: ·           Enhancing verbal ability ·           Improving reasoning skills ·           Enhancing numerical ability ·           Understanding importance of time management The impact on our students: ·           Enhances Communication and interpersonal skills. · ...

IPR cell of PIM is associated with IQAC organized a workshop on the Concept and Importance of IPRs. The well-known advocate of Udupi Mr. Pradeep Kumar was the chief guest and resource person. He explained the broad aspects of intellectual property and said that the conception differs from time to time. It is subjected to various influences. Student interacted with various queries particularly with respect to patents and trademarks. Dr. M R Hegde presided over the programme and in his presidential remark, he insisted on  the significance of the IP laws, Akshatha of II MBA welcomed the gathering, Rahul of II MBA delivered the vote of thanks. The workshop was coordinated by Sangeetha of II MBA.

Extension Programme conducted by Finance Club of PIM in association with Udupi zillah Kanakadasa Seva Samaja Regd.

Teaching school going children about money, we can help them to discover the relationships of earning to spending and saving.  By this the kids understand the value of money.  With the intention of creating financial awareness among the children of Kuruba community the finance club of PIM organised a ‘Finance Quiz’ for 50 students studying in Volakadu high school.  The quiz consisted of simple questions about different financial institutions, role of those institutions and simple mathematical questions. Twenty-two students of both first year and second year combinedly organised the programme.  Stationery articles were distributed as prizes for the students.  Students divided themselves in to four groups and designed the quiz programme on 27.11.2014.

 ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಆದಿಮಾನವನು ಗುಹೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸಮಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದ ಡಿ.ಎನ್.ಎ.ಯಿಂದಲೇ ವರ್ತಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಪೇಪರ್ಲೆಸ್ ಕಛೇರಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಲೇ ಮೊದಲಿಗಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕಾಗದವನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ವರ್ಚುವಲ್ ಕಾನ್ಪರೆನ್ಸ್‍ಗಳಿಂದ ಕಿಕ್ಕಿರಿದ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ತಡೆಯಬಹುದು ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡಷ್ಟೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಟ್ರಾಫಿಕ್ ಜಾಮ್‍ಗಳು ಆಗುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಇವೆಲ್ಲಾ ನಾವು ಇನ್ನೂ ಗುಹಾಮಾನವನ ಡಿ.ಎನ್.ಎ.ಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವುದನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಜಾಹೀರಾತು ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಸರು ಗಳಿಸಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬಯಸುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯು ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ಅರಿತುಕೊಂಡಿರಬೇಕು. ಗ್ರಾಹಕರೇ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಾರ್ಹ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳು. ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರೀಕೃತ ಗಮನ ಹೊಂದಿದಾಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ಉತ್ತಮ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳ ಸೃಷ್ಠಿಯಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಜಾಹೀರಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಪುನ:ಶ್ಚೇತನಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಜನರನ್ನು ರಂಜಿಸುವ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ಹಿಂದಿಗಿಂತ ಇಂದು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ. ಹೈಟೆಕ್ ಗಿಂತ ಹೈಟಚ್ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾದದ್ದು. ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಪರಿಣತಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಜಾಹೀರಾತಿನ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಜ್ಞಾನ ಹೊಂದಿರುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕರಿಸಲಾದ ಭಾವನಾ ಪೂರ್ಣವಾದ ಜಾಹೀರಾತುಗಳೇ ಇಂದಿನ ಜಾಹೀರಾತು ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ ಆದ್ಯತೆಗಳಾಗಿವೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ವರ್ತನೆಯನ್ನು ಸೂಕ್ಷ್ಮವಾಗಿ, ಭಾವೋದ್ರಿಕ್ತರಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕಲ್ಪನಾ ಕೇಂದ್ರಿತವಾಗಿ ಗಮನಿಸುವರೇ ಜಾಹೀರಾತು ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಬಿ...

EXTENSION ACTIVITY ORGANISED BY THE HUMAN RESOURCES CLUB IN ASSOCIATION WITH UDUPI ZILLA KANAKADASA SEVA SAMAJA REGD.

The HR club of Poornaprajna Institute of Management conducted an extension activity ‘TEAM POWER’ for the students of Udupi Zilla Kanakadasa Seva Samaja Trust on 5 th  November 2014 on TEAM-BUILDING. Objectives of the program: ·           To help students work in teams. ·           To promote team playing skills ·           To help develop good leadership skills. Description/Report : The student co-ordinators distributed equal amount of newspaper sheets to the participants. The participants were asked to build a PAPER tower and were directed to raise the height so that the tallest tower would be rewarded. The various teams participated with all energy and enthusiasm to complete the task given in 30 minutes. The co-ordinators started the program on time & also person with rewarded the tallest tower. Extension programme organised by Women Empowerment Cell of PIM in association with the Udupi Zilla Kanakadasa Seva Samaja Regd.

Women Empowerment Cell of Poornaprajna Institute of Management conducted a training programme on Health and    Hygiene to the children of members of Kanakadasa    Seva Sangha, Udupi on October 15 th , 2014. The student members of Women Empowerment Cell enlightened the childrens on the importance of Health and Hygiene for girls to have a comfortable and fresh feeling all the day. The children were also trained on the ways of maintaining personal hygiene such as cleansing, mensural care, odor care, clothing tips, healthy foods etc.    They were also made to know when to consult a gynocologist. Some home remedy tips were also given to the students. Prathvini Salian welcomed the gathering, Anusha L K proposed vote of thanks and Keerthana conducted the programme. Other members of the Cell trained the children. Faculty coordinator Mrs. Sujatha G L coordinated the programme.

Extension Activity Organised by CSR Club in association with Adarsha Hospital

Adarsha Hospital had organised a Heart day and health check up programme on 28/09/2014. As per the MOU, the medical director of Adarsha Hospital had invited the students of PIM to participate in the programme leading to societal health.  The CSR club of PIM along with the Co-ordinator of the club Mr. Santhosh Prabhu took this opportunity of serving the society.  The CSR club members decided to create awareness about health maintenance.  The students came out with presentations before the audience and created posters which indicated the importance of health.  15 members of the CSR club participated in the programme which was appreciated by the collaborating agency, the Adarsha Hospital.
