ದಿನಾಂಕ 21-01-2010 ರಂದು “ಡಾ| ಪಾದೂರು ಗುರುರಾಜ ಭಟ್ ಮೆಮೋರಿಯಲ್ ಟ್ರಸ್ಟ್” ನ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ನಡೆಸಲ್ಪಡುವ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಮಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸವು ‘ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಜ್ಞ ಇನ್‍ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್ ಆಫ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್ಮೆಂಟ್’ ನ ಪ್ರಜ್ಞಾ ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರವೇರಿತು. ಪ್ರಧಾನ ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಲಹಾ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಓರ್ವರಾದ ಹಾಗೂ ‘ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಇನ್‍ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್ ಆಫ್ ಪಬ್ಲಿಕ್ ಫೈನಾನ್ಸ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಪೆÇೀಲಿಸಿ’, ನವದೆಹಲಿ ಇದರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಡಾ| ಎಮ್. ಗೋವಿಂದ ರಾವ್ ಅವರು ‘ಅಂತರಾಷ್ರ್ಟೀಯ ಪರಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತದ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ನೀತಿ’ ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಪರಿಸ್ಠಿತಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಚೆಲ್ಲುತ್ತಾ, ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಹಿಂಜರಿತದ ಕಾರಣಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದರು ಹಾಗೂ ಭಾರತವು ಜಾಗತೀಕರಣದ ಸವಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಲು ಸಶಕ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಡಾ| ಎಮ್. ಗೋವಿಂದ ರಾವ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಸೌಕರ್ಯಗಳ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿ ಆಗದೆ ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶ ‘ಪ್ರಬಲ ಜಾಗತಿಕ ಶಕ್ತಿ’ ಆಗಲು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯ ಎಂದರು. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ಮುಂದುವರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ರಿಸರ್ವ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಹಣಕಾಸು ಸಚಿವಾಲಯದ ದಿಟ್ಟ ನಿರ್ಧಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳಿಂದ ಭಾರತವು ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇಕಡಾ 7.9 ರಷ್ಟು ಹಾಗೂ ಮುಂಬರುವ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಶೇಕಡಾ 10 ರಷ್ಟು ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ದರವನ್ನು ದಾಖಲಿಸುವ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸ ವ...

Udupi: The students of Poornaprajna Institute of Management brought laurels to the Institute by securing 3 ranks out of the 4 ranks in MBA stream, declared by the Mangalore University for the academic year 2008-2009. Ms Krithika Raghunandan tops the list by securing the 1 st rank. She is ahead of the 2 nd rank holder by a wide margin of 57 marks. She is the daughter of Prof. B. V. Raghunandan of SVS College , Bantwal and Mrs Latha Raghunandan. Ms Sushma has secured the 3 rd rank. She is the daughter of Sri Koraga Poojary K. S. and Mrs Susheela K. Poojary of Udupi. Ms Sangeetha Kamath has secured the 4 th rank. She is the daughter of Sri Jayarama Kamath and Mrs. Radha J. Kamath of Udupi. Ms Krithika Raghunandan and Ms. Sushma hava been selected as Asst. ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಜ್ಞ ಇನ್ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್ ಆಫ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್ಮೆಂಟ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ 24 ರಿಂದ 28ರ ವರೆಗೆ ಜರಗಲಿರುವ ಯುವ ಸಪ್ತಾಹವನ್ನು ಆರ್‍ಟಿಒ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಎಂ. ಪಿ. ಓಂಕಾರೇಶ್ವರಿ ಅವರು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಎಂ.ಬಿ.ಎ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿನಿ ಕುಮಾರಿ ಸಿಂಚನಾ ಶೃಗೇರಿ ಅವರ ‘ಬಿಯಾಂಡ್ ದ ವೆಯಿಲ್ ಆಫ್ ಮೈಸೆಲ್ಫ್’ ಎಂಬ ಆಂಗ್ಲ ಕವನ ಸಂಕಲನ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ ವಿಕಸನದಿಂದ ಮಾತ್ರ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಸಾಧ್ಯ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ ವಿಕಸಕ್ಕೆ ಯುವ ಸಪ್ತಾಹಗಳು ಪೂರಕವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಯುವ ಸಪ್ತಾಹದಂತಹ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಆಯೋಜಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವಿದ್ಯೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಅನುಭವ, ಪರಿಸರದ ಕುರಿತು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆ ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಶ್ರೀಮತಿ ಎಂ. ಪಿ. ಓಂಕಾರೇಶ್ವರಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು. ಪಿ.ಐ.ಎಮ್. ನ ಗೌರವ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಶ್ರೀ ವಸಂತ ರಾವ್ ಅವರ ಚಿತ್ರಕಲಾ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ‘ವರ್ಣಾಬುಂಧಿ’ü ಯನ್ನು ಈ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಡುಪಿಯ ಚಿತ್ರಕಲಾ ಮಂದಿರದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷರಾದ ಡಾ| ಯು.ಸಿ.ನಿರಂಜನ್ ರವರು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದ ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಜ್ಞ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ರಾಜಮೋಹನ್ ಅವರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿ, ಯೋಚನಾ ಶಕ್ತಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತೇಜನ ನೀಡುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಇಂತಹ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯ ಎಂದರು. ಪಿ.ಐ.ಎಮ್. ನ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರಾದ ಡಾ| ಎಂ. ಆರ್. ಹೆಗಡೆ...

On 10.10.2008 a Special Guest Lecture was delivered by Dr. U. K. Krishna, Director, Nippon Ayurvedic School , Japan and also the Chief Consultant, Indus Valley Ayurvedic Center (JVAC), Mysore . He spoke on the topic “Importance of Health in Management”. He enlightened the students on various facets of physical and mental health and its importance in achieving success in the work environment. He also illustrated the modern management techniques evolved in Japan . PIM students witnessed on enthralling Guest Lecturing Session by Prof. B. V. Raghunandan, a renowned Professor of Commerce, SVS College Bantwal. Udupi: A Special Guest Lecture session was organized on 25.8.2014 at Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Udupi, recently on the topic “Role of Skill Development and Career Opportunities for MBA Graduates”. Mr. U. S. Sridhar from Mumbai was the resource person. In his special guest lecture, he elucidated the importance of skill development in Management Education in preparing the successful future managers. Mr. U. S. Shridhar, who has more than four decades of very rich industrial experience in prominent industries such as IBM, L&T and LAKME, pointed out that there is no paucity of career opportunities for MBA Graduates in India . All that is required is the development of Communication Skill, Computer Skill and other Soft Skills in the MBA students. The programme was presided over by the Director of PIM Dr. M. R. Hegde.
