Special Guest Lecture Series at Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Udupi

On 10.10.2008 a Special Guest Lecture was delivered by Dr. U. K. Krishna, Director, Nippon Ayurvedic School, Japan and also the Chief Consultant, Indus Valley Ayurvedic Center (JVAC), Mysore. He spoke on the topic “Importance of Health in Management”. He enlightened the students on various facets of physical and mental health and its importance in achieving success in the work environment. He also illustrated the modern management techniques evolved in Japan.

PIM students witnessed on enthralling Guest Lecturing Session by Prof. B. V. Raghunandan, a renowned Professor of Commerce, SVS College Bantwal. Speaking on the on the topic “Marketing - The Basic Business Attitude”, he explained the students, different marketing concepts with practical examples from the business field. He gave valuable guidance to the students based on his rich knowledge and experience. He pointed out that it is only the right kind of attitude of an individual which takes him towards the path of success.

Another Special Guest Lecture on the topic “Banks and Information Technology” was delivered by Sri K. N. V. Prabhu, AGM, Corporation Bank. He explained the students the different facets of development of banks using the Information Technology. He brought out clearly that the use of Information Technology is inevitable for the successful functioning of a bank. He cleared the doubts of the students regarding the role of Indian Banks in the present financial atmosphere. The students were benefited a lot by this most interactive session on varied modern banking techniques.

These three programmes were organized by Second Year MBA Students, namely Kavya Shetty, Suchithra, Gladson D’Souza, Pramod Kamath, Chaithra S. N., Nishmitha, Lalitha, Glavina Prima Alva and Akshara S. and were presided over by the Director of the Institute, Dr. M. R. Hegde.

ಪಿ.ಐ.ಎಮ್. ನಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶೇಷ ಅತಿಥಿ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸಗಳ ಮಾಲಿಕೆ

ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಜ್ಞ ಇನ್ಸ್ಟಿಟ್ಯೂಟ್ ಆಫ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್ಮೆಂಟ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಇತ್ತೀಚಿಗೆ ನಿಪೆÇ್ಪೀನ್ ಆಯುರ್ವೇದಿಕ್ ಸ್ಕೂಲ್, ಜಪಾನ್ ಇದರ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕರೂ, ಐವಾಕ್ ನ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಸಲಹೆಗಾರರೂ ಆದ ಡಾ| ಯು. ಕೆ. ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಅವರಿಂದ “ಇಂಪಾರ್ಟೆನ್ಸ್ ಆಫ್ ಹೆಲ್ತ್ ಇನ್ ಮ್ಯಾನೇಜ್ಮೆಂಟ್” ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಅತಿಥಿ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಜರುಗಿತು. ಅವರು ದೈಹಿಕ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಸರಿಸಬೇಕಾದ ಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶನವಿತ್ತರು. ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯೊಂದರ ಆಡಳಿತ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯ ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಜಪಾನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಸರಿಸುವ ಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಉದಾಹರಣೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದ ಡಾ| ಕೃಷ್ಣ ಅವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಈ ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ಸಲಹೆಗಳನ್ನಿತ್ತರು.

ಎರಡನೇ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಎಸ್.ವಿ.ಎಸ್. ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಖ್ಯಾತ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರ ಪ್ರಾಧ್ಯಾಪಕ ಪೆÇ್ರ. ಬಿ. ವಿ. ರಘುನಂದನ್ ಅವರಿಂದ “ಮಾರ್ಕೆಟಿಂಗ್ – ದ ಬೇಸಿಕ್ ಬಿಸ್ನೆಸ್ ಆಟಿಟ್ಯುಡ್” ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿಶೇಷ ಅತಿಥಿ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸ ನಡೆಯಿತು. ಪೆÇ್ರ. ರಘುನಂದನ್‍ರವರು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಯ ತಂತ್ರಗಳ ಉಗಮ ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಾವಹಾರಿಕ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಗಳಿಂದ ಮನದಟ್ಟು ಮಾಡಿದರಲ್ಲದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಅದ್ಭುತವಾದ ವಾಗ್ಸರಣೆಯಿಂದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳನ್ನು ಮಂತ್ರಮುಗ್ಧರಾಗಿಸಿದರು. ಆ ನಂತರದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೋತ್ತರ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವು ಅರ್ಥಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ಮೂಡಿಬಂತು.

ಮೂರನೇ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿ ಕಾಪೆರ್Çರೇಶನ್ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್‍ನ ಎಜಿಎಂ ಶ್ರೀ ಕೆ. ಎನ್. ವಿ. ಪ್ರಭು ಅವರು “ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ಸ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಇನ್¥sóÉÇೀರ್ಮೇಶನ್ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜಿ” ಎಂಬ ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು. ಇನ್¥sóÉÇೀರ್ಮೇಶನ್ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜಿಯನ್ನು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್‍ಗಳು ಬೆಳೆದುಬಂದ ವಿವಿಧ ಹಂತಗಳನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಿದ ಅವರು ಇನ್¥sóÉÇೀರ್ಮೇಶನ್ ಟೆಕ್ನಾಲಜಿಯು ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್‍ಗಳ ವ್ಯವಹಾರದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವಾದುದೆಂದರು. ಆಧುನಿಕ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕಿಗ್ ವ್ಯವಹಾರ ಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಹಾಗೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುವ ವಿಶಿಷ್ಠ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನಗಳ ಬಳಕೆಯನ್ನು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮನವರಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟರು. ಉಪನ್ಯಾಸದ ನಂತರ “ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಕ್ತ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ವಿದ್ಯಮಾನ ಹಾಗೂ ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್‍ಗಳ ಪಾತ್ರ” ಎಂಬ ವಿಚಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಸಂದೇಹಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಕವಾದ ಉತ್ತರವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದರು.

ದ್ವಿತೀಯ ಎಂಬಿ.ಎ. ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಾದ ಕಾವ್ಯ ಎಸ್. ಶೆಟ್ಟಿ, ಸುಚಿತ್ರ, ಗ್ಲಾಡ್ಸನ್ ಡಿಸೋಜ, ಪ್ರಮೋದ್ ಕಾಮತ್, ಚೈತ್ರ ಎಸ್. ಎನ್., ನಿಶ್ಮಿತಾ, ಗ್ಲವೀನಾ ಆಲ್ವ, ಲಲಿತ ಹಾಗೂ ಅಕ್ಷರ ಎಸ್. ಮುಂತಾದವರು ಸಂಯೋಜಿಸಿದ ಈ ಮೂರೂ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷತೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಡಾ| ಎಂ. ಆರ್. ಹೆಗಡೆ ವಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.
