An extension programme was conducted by the Finance Club of PIM for the benefit of Kuruba Community children on January 5 th , 2016.  Nineteen students of Finance club selected creation of awareness about the importance of savings and investments as the theme of this extension activity.  Children were taught about creation of savings account, writing cheques, creating a personal budget etc.  Creation of piggy banks and the advantages of savings and investments were highlighted to the beneficiaries.  60 students from grade 8 th to grade 10 th studying at Volakadu school, belonging to the Kuruba community were the beneficiaries of this programme.  Studetns of PIM divided themselves into 5 groups and designed the content for imparting the importance of savings and investments to children.  Vinod shet , Shivashakthi and sooraj the students of second year took lead in organising the programme along with the first year MBA students.  A brief description is made about one of the games
