Poornaprajna Institute of Management

Police Personnel are one of the important contributors to the internal security of our country.  The programme of health check-up for police personnel was organised by the Adarsha Hospital. On 16 th September 2015.   The invite was sent to PIM by the medical director of the Adarsha Hospital.  CSR club in its urge to contribute to the different stakeholders of business, took up this opportunity and 10 students of CSR club volunteered in assisting the doctors in organising the programme.  Students understood the cost of negligence of health and contributed their bit to the service of the society.  

                                                  Finance forum of PIM organised a workshop on the theme "Investment Basics and Stock Selection using Fundamental Analysis" on 18th August 2015 .  Renowned stock broker of the Region Mr.Harish B was the resource person for the session.  The director of PIM Dr.M.R.Hegde, presided over the programme .  The programme was conducted by Mr.Rohith Suvarna , of  2nd MBA.  The faculty coordinator of the Finance forum Mrs. Bharathi Karanth and all the students attended the programme.  

Workshop on 'Personality and Empowerment' was conducted at Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 27th July 2015 at Prajna hall.  The workshop was organized by PIM in association with New India Foundation.  Dr. Sulochana Prashanth Shenoy enlightened the students about the ways of empowering themselves through a positive personality while Mr. Bhandarkar the President of New India Foundation explained the students the ways of getting out of fear and the methods of stress management.  The programme was attended by the students of both first and second year MBA .  The members of New India Foundation were present on the ocasion and the programme was presided over by Dr. M.R.Hegde, the Director of PIM.  

Finance forum of PIM organised a Workshop on the theme " Investing for the future " by Mr. Harish B Proprietor Premier investments udupi on 16/3/2015. The programme was presided over by Dr.M.R.Hegde and was attended by all the students of MBA. 

A workshop on self defence mechanism for women students of the institution was organised at Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Udupi. On 4 th March 2015. The workshop was conducted by Mr.Karthik S Kateel , the Martial Art Expert  with his team comprising of trained women.  The workshop taught the women students the different techniques  used for  self defence.  The workshop was attended by both the first and second year students and was well appreciated .

An extension programme is organised by ICT cell of PIM in association with Udupi Zilla Kanakadasa Seva Samaja for the benefit of children of Kuruba community studying at Volakadu School on 02/03/15.    The theme of the programme was about the internet usage.    14 students of ICT club designed the programme to educate the highschool children of Kuruba community about the internet usage.    The computer lab has 30 computers.    2 students were allotted one computer and the 14 students guided them in the usage of internet.    The dos and don’ts of internet usage, the websites useful to students , the ways of extracting and storing the data were taught beautifully by the students of ICT club.    The students learnt about organising the programme and also about the ways to reach children of backward community while the beneficiaries expressed happiness over the learning received.  

Campus Placement activities were conducted at Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Udupi by the prestigious industrial organizations in the last two months. More than 60% of MBA students of the Institute have secured worthy placements so as to join these industries after the completion of their final semester examinations in May, 2015. Many more Campus Placement Activities are scheduled to held at PIM on 28 th of February and on different dates in the month of March. In the ‘Campus Interviews’ held at Poornaprajna Institute and in other Pool Campus Interviews, 97 Final Year Degree students of Poornaprajna College, Udupi are selected for Industrial Placements. The Final Year MBA students of PIM and Final Year Degree Students of PPC have secured placement in the companies such as Pest Control of India, Getit Info Services, Northern Trust Bank, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Infosys, Tally, Serco Global Services, Career Net, Bajaj Group of Companies etc. Under the guidance of Dr. M.R...
