Campus Placement Activity at Poornaprajna Institute of Management

Campus Placement activities were conducted at Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Udupi by the prestigious industrial organizations in the last two months. More than 60% of MBA students of the Institute have secured worthy placements so as to join these industries after the completion of their final semester examinations in May, 2015. Many more Campus Placement Activities are scheduled to held at PIM on 28th of February and on different dates in the month of March.
In the ‘Campus Interviews’ held at Poornaprajna Institute and in other Pool Campus Interviews, 97 Final Year Degree students of Poornaprajna College, Udupi are selected for Industrial Placements. The Final Year MBA students of PIM and Final Year Degree Students of PPC have secured placement in the companies such as Pest Control of India, Getit Info Services, Northern Trust Bank, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, Infosys, Tally, Serco Global Services, Career Net, Bajaj Group of Companies etc.
Under the guidance of Dr. M.R.Hegde, Director of PIM and Dr. B. Jagadeesh Shetty, Principal of PPC, the placement officers of these two Institutions Mr. Chandan Rao and Dr. Anand Acharya U.V., are coordinating the Placement Activities.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. HALF DAY VISIT TO “MAMATHEYA THOTTILU”

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Industrial Visit to Medium & Scale Industries of Udupi District 2019

An Industrial Visit was organized for the students of III semester of Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 07 th December 2019 to the Medium and Small Scale Industries of the Udupi district.   First and foremost, the students visited the Dakshina Kannada Co-operative Milk Producers Union Ltd, located in Havanje where the students witnessed an elaborate process of milk processing. The hi-tech production was explained very patiently by Mr Sadananda, the supervisor of the plant, who took the students across the newly inaugurated production unit. He elaborately provided information about the collection, heating, pasteurizing, maintenance, packing and finally distribution of the milk and the milk products. The students were also shown the latest automated technology which required minimum human intervention for milk processing.
