Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programme at PIM
In association with Poornaprajna College, Udupi,
Poornaprajna Post Graduate Studies in Commerce and Vijnan Foundation, an
Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programme was held at Prajna Hall of
Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 8 March 2010. Director of the
Institute Dr. Bharath, Principal of Poornaprajna College Dr. Raghavendra A,
Coordinator of PG Centre Dr. Venktramana Somayajee and founder of Vijnan
Foundation Dr. Naveenchandra Shetty and CA Ronald Lobo were present on the occasion.
All the students of PIM, Faculty and students of Poornaprajna College and Post
Graduate Centre were present on this occasion. Mr. Vinayak Pai, Assistant Professor, PG Department of Commerce, PPC welcomed the
guests and participants. Dr. Raghavendra, Principal of PPC presided over the
function and spoke on this occasion.
The program is concerned with giving of insights
to young minds about entrepreneurship and skill development. Entrepreneurship
and Skill Development Programme is an initiative of Micro and Small Enterprises,
New Delhi and Vijnan Foundation is registered NGO, engaged in delivering
solutions to entrepreneurship linked issues, tied up with MSME, conducting many
programmes of skill development. Smart City solutions, intellectual property
rights, conducting programs in different colleges. The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium
Enterprises (MoMSME) promotes the development
of micro and small enterprises in the country with the objective of creating
self-employment opportunities
and upgrading the relevant
skills of existing and potential entrepreneurs.
In order to promote the establishment of new enterprises and creation of new entrepreneurs MoMSME has been implementing
various schemes and programmes
Dr. Naveenchandra Shetty spoke on EDP, CA RonaldLobo spoke on GST and Taxation Issues, Dr. Francis Andrade spoke on
Intellectual Property Rights, Mr. Shivaprasad spoke on EDP.
