Extension Programme Organised by CSR club of PIM in association with Adarsha Hospital Udupi. 


A rally to promote Diabetes awareness was organised by Adarsha Hospital in association with Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Department of Health and Family Welfare, National Health Campaign at Ajjarakadu Udupi on 12th November 2019. . CSR club of PIM took the lead in this societal engagement programme which focused on the creation of Diabetes Awareness. . 60 students of both first and second year MBA participated in the Diabetes awareness camp along with the Director of the institution Dr. Bharath V , CSR club staff coordinator Mr. Santhosh N Prabhu and Mr.Shivanand Bhandarkar, the placement officer and faculty member of PIM.  Students prepared slogans about the importance of maintain good health and made efforts to create health awareness. Medical Director of Adarsha Hospital Dr.G.S.Chandrashekar, who was instrumental in organising the rally , informed about the proper diet and lifestyles to be maintained to have robust health for all.  Udupi Superintendent of Police Nisha James, emphasized that daily exercise, diet and regular health checks are vital to control diabetes.  Mr. A K Raghupathi Bhat , the MLA of Udupi highlighted that adjustment to lifestyles helps to control diabetes.  The Jatha was flagged off at Ajjarkadu, passed through Jodukatte, Diana Circle, K.M.Road, and culminated at Adarsha Hospital.  PIM students took special efforts to explain to the people about better lifestyles and diets.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. At the end, the Superior of the Old age home thanked the students for the noble initiative and blessed the students for the great sacrifice. HALF DAY VISIT TO “MAMATHEYA THOTTILU”

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. Industrial Visit to Medium & Scale Industries of Udupi District 2019

An Industrial Visit was organized for the students of III semester of Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 07 th December 2019 to the Medium and Small Scale Industries of the Udupi district.   First and foremost, the students visited the Dakshina Kannada Co-operative Milk Producers Union Ltd, located in Havanje where the students witnessed an elaborate process of milk processing. The hi-tech production was explained very patiently by Mr Sadananda, the supervisor of the plant, who took the students across the newly inaugurated production unit. He elaborately provided information about the collection, heating, pasteurizing, maintenance, packing and finally distribution of the milk and the milk products. The students were also shown the latest automated technology which required minimum human intervention for milk processing.
