A Panel discussion on Union Budget 2018-19 Implication on different sectors by CA M.Sridhar Kamath, udupi, CA K Narasimha Kini Udupi, CA Krishna Acharya Udupi and Dr. Ganesh Bhat
Poornaprajna Institute of Management was witness to a spectacular intellectual programme on Union Budget 2018-19 which was organised in association with Udupi chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr.Shrikrishna Kodancha , the President of Udupi Chamber of Commerce and Industry was the Chief guest of the programme. A panel consisting of experts in various segments of the society was formulated . The panel consisting of practicing chartered accountants, legal experts, experts in the area of economics, rural development etc. The panel discussed the impact of union budget 2018-19 on the different sectors like industrial development, agricultural development, infrastructure, taxation aspects etc. CA M.Sridhar Kamath opined that the government is focussing on structural changes and thereby intends to provide solutions to the problems in the long term. It is not focussing on providing short term remedies to become popular. Dr. Ganesh Bhat coordinated the whole programme. The faculty members, students of both MBA and MCom attended the session and participated in the discussions.
