  ETTIN – 2022 Students of the Institute participated in the National Level Management Fest organised by JKSHMI, Nitte ‘ETTIN-2022’ on 13 th and 14 th of May, 2022. Mr. Mayura Shetty and Ms. Heera Sanam from II MBA and Mr. Savin Kumar, Mr. Sumanth, Mr. Poornesh Kumar, Ms. Primal Britto and Ms. Pavana from I MBA took part in various events of the fest. Mr. Mayura Shetty and Ms. Heera Sanam won RUNNERS UP in the event ‘OPS TACKLE’.

 The Skill Development and Placement Cell "POORNAKASH" is always determined to provide worthy placement opportunities to students. In this regard, the Reliance Retail Campus Placement Drive was organized on 12th and 13th of May 2022. The final year MBA students and final year undergraduate students actively participated in the placement drive. Reliance Retail is one of the leading players in the retail sector in India with a nationwide presence and has different format retail stores under different brands.   SENTIA 2022 Students of the Institute have participated in the Management Fest ‘SENTIA 2022’ organised by the Department of Business Administration, MITE, Thodar on 15 th of April, 2022. Second MBA students Ms. Sameeksha M Prabhu, Ms. Yashaswini, Ms. Sandhya M Chandrashekhar, Mrs. Srinidhi K S, Mr. Mayura Shetty, Ms. Heera Sanam and Ms. Sowmya as well as first MBA student Mr. Savin Kumar participated in various events of the fest.

  On March 10 th 2022, the Placement and Skill Development cell of PIM organized campus recruitment drive conducted by BYJUS for the final year MBA students. The campus recruitment drive was held online via zoom platform. 9 students of final year MBA enrolled for the drive. The drive consisted of two rounds Round 1: Evaluation round- Group Discussion wherein all 9 students actively participated and spontaneously spoke extempore on the given topic.   On 12 th March Round 2 was held which was “Pre-Placement Talk and interview” The selected student through round one participated in round two wherein the organization briefed about nature of work and products, job role and responsibilities etc. later there was personal interview round with the panelist.    

  Sports Club of Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Department of Post-Graduate Studies in Commerce, PPC and Yuva Spandana Kendra Department of Sports and Youth Empowerment, Government of Karnataka jointly organised ‘ Youth Empowerment Programme ’ on 7 th of April, 2022 at Prajna Hall of the Institute. MBA students of PIM and M.Com. students of Dept of PG Studies in Commerce, PPC participated in the programme. Smt. Sudakshina, Yuva Parivarthaki, Yuva Spandana Kendra was the resource person . Director of the Institute Dr. Bharath V and all the faculty members of PIM and Dept of PG Studies in Commerce, PPC were present. Sports Club staff coordinator Dr. Naveen Kumar K R compered the programme. I MBA student Ms. Shrinidhi Nagaraj Bhat proposed vote of thanks.

  In the wake of Industry-Academia interface and employability enablement the IQAC of Poornaprajna Institute of Management and Poornakash-The placement and skill development cell jointly organized facility visit to Big Bazaar Udupi on 8 th  January 2022. The final year MBA students of Finance and Marketing domain actively participated and were very keen in understanding the functioning of the retail giant from Future Group India. The students were addressed by the Manager HR- Mr. Ranjith about the various aspects of human resource management and development. The operations manager Mr. Nagaraja P. also interacted with the students and gave inputs about store maintenance, finance and operations.   It was indeed a delight when the Store Manager Raghavendra K. and FBB manager Mr. Mehaboob also joined the wagon despite of their busy schedule and gladly interacted with the students and also willingly answered the questions and clarified the doubts about how a retail store is ...

A training program was organised for the non-teaching staff on 'OFFICE COMMUNICATION' by Prof. Vasantha Raviprakash, Associate Professor and HOD-Department of English, Poornaprajna College Udupi. Inaugurating the session Dr. Bharath V. Director of the Institute, said that as a premium B-school it is very important to develop excellent communication among all the members of the Institution.  He explained the role of communication in brand building and elevating the goodwill of the Institute.  He urged the audience to make good use of the opportunity and communicate fluently while transacting with students and other stakeholders of the Institute.  The Resource person Prof.Vasantha Raviprakash started the session with the ice breaker where all the participants introduced themselves in English.  Later she made the participants to come forward and read the sentences on the screen.
