Poornaprajna Institute of Management

Founder's day was celebrated on 01/07/2021,Thursday in the Campus.The function was inaugrated by H.H Shri Viswapriya Theertha Swqamiji. Dr. Shreekanth Siddapura, retaired lecturer of Poornaprajna College, Udupi was the guest of honour of the function. Dr.Shreekanth Siddapura reminded the memories of His Holiness Shri Vibudhesha Theertha Swamiji, the founder of Poornaprajna Educational Institutions,highlighting his contributions towards the development of Poornaprajna Educational Institutions and the Society at large. H.H Shri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji blessed the gathering. The Director of the Institute, Dr. Bharath V and the members of Governing Council of the Institution and the members of teaching and non-teaching staff and all others present on this occasion offered flowers to the photo of the visionary savant.

Poornaprajna Institute of Management, Poornaprajna-Rotary Centre for Social Empowerment, Karnataka Bank Ltd., Poornaprajna College and P G Centre has jointly organised Rtn. H. N. S. Rao Memorial Lecture on the theme ‘Communication – The Life Line’ on 15th of July, 2021 at Prajna Hall of PIM. Dr. Shubha H. S., Head, Media Centre, Manipal Institute of Communication, MAHE, Manipal was the resource person. Rtn. Dr. Virupaksha Devaremane, President, Rotary Club, Manipal was the Guest of Honour. Dr, Bharath V., Director, PIM, Dr. Raghavendra A., Principal, PPC, Rtn. Renu Jayaram, Nodal Officer, Rotary Club Manipal, and Dr. Krishna Kothai, Director, Poornaprajna-Rotary Manipal Centre for Social Empowerment, spoke about late Shri H.N.S Rao and introdused the resourse person to the audience. PIM faculty, Dr. Bharathi Karanth compered the programme.

The Centre for Social Justice and Equality, Administrative Training Institute, Mysore, in colaboration with Poornaprajna- Rotary Manipal, centre for social Empowerment has organised an online talk for the Officials of the State Social Welfare Department on 28th of June, 2021. Dr. Krishna Kothai, Emeritus Professor, Poornaprajna Institute of Management and Director, Poornaprajna-Rotary Manipal Centre for Social Empowerment was the resource person.

  On 20-03-2021 Poornaprajna Institute of Management, HR Forum ETICA, and IQAC jointly organized a half-day visit to 'Mamatheya Thottilu'. 13 students from HR specialization along with the faculty in-charge Prof. Joe Ashwin Correa visited the orphanage near Santhekatte,Udupi.  Ashritha M S hosted the program.  The program began with the self-introduction of the students, which was followed by the inmates also introducing themselves by telling their names, their class, their favorite food, favorite color, the name of their best friends, and the ambitions of their life.  Project coordinator Ms. Marina Elizabeth introduced the staff members Rekha, Prema, Jayanthi and others to the gathering. Inmates showcased their talent by singing “Needu Shiva Needadiru Shiva” spiritual song. PLACEMENTS 2020-2022  

  Poornaprajna Institute of Management organized a visit to the popular private FM radio station Radio Mirchi Mangalore on 6th April 2021. The students from the Marketing and HR specialization actively participated and were accompanied by Mr. Shivanand M. Bhandarkar, Assistant Professor and Mr. Shri Hari, office staff of the college. The station visit focused on providing inputs to students regarding how the radio stations work. The main objective was to make students aware of the operations of a private FM Radio. Students were amazed to know how much groundwork and preparations has to be done by the employees such as RJ’s, sales team, copywriters, programmers etc.   In order to sustain in a very competitive environment which is susceptible to change.
