CORPORATE INTERACTION SESSION :Mr.ASHOK KUMAR, MANAGING DIRECTOR, LOTUS KNOWWEALTH, MUMBAI  WORKSHOP ON 'CAPITAL MARKET AWARENESS' AN INITIATIVE OF BSE's INVESTOR PROTECTION FUND  Poornaprajna Institute of Management organised an corporate interaction session at Prajna Hall on December 16th 2013 by inviting Mr.Ashok Kumar, the managing director of Lotus knowealth limited, Mumbai .  The workshop was also an initiative of the BSE's Investors Awareness Programme .  Mr. Ashok kumar addressed both first year and second year MBA students and created awareness about the operations of the capital market.  The resource person threw light on the concepts of financial literacy and financial planning processes.  He paid special attention to the Rajiv Gandhi Equity Savings Schemes.  Director of the institution Dr.M.R.Hegde and faculty incharge of guest lecture programmes Mrs.Bharathi Karanth , along with the MBA students are seen in the photos attached....

Sebi sponsoredi  I nvestment Awareness programme by Dr.Radhakrishna Sharma                  Finance forum of PIM in assoication with SEBI organised a workshop  on Investment Awareness on 6th december 2013 at Prajna Hall.  Prof.Radhakrishna sharma was the resource person for the session.  The programme was coordinated by Mr.Abhishek, Ms.Aparna Bharadwaj and Ms.Aparna V of 2nd MBA . Director of the institution Dr. M.R. Hegde presided over the programme.  

Human Rights Cell of PIM organised an extension programme for the benefit of children of Kuruba community in association with the Udupi zilla kanakadasa seva samaja .    The students of Human Rights Cell selected “Empowerment of the Weaker Sections of the Society” as the theme for all the programs designed for the children of Kuruba community.    55 students of the said community studying at volakadu school were the beneficiaries of the programme.    The members of human rights cell of PIM made the students of the said community aware about the concept of empowerment through video presentations.    They tried to reach the beneficiaries through their presentations and made their best efforts to make them understand the importance of education as a tool to empowerment of weaker sections.    Human rights cell members spoke about socio economic empowerment, and highlighted its necessity in having better quality of life , in facilitating eq...

As we try to establish good habits in our youth for the developing a strong nation, we must not ignore a vital ingredient: Financial awareness.    Many children go to adult hood devoid of an ability to handle money.    Keeping the importance of financial awareness for children in mind, the finance club of PIM, organised a financial awareness programme for the benefit of children of Kuruba Community on 28/10/2013.    Seven students of PIM designed a programme which included the interactive talk with the children of Kuruba community and enlightened them about the sound money management principles.    A questionnaire was prepared by the students to understand the financial awareness of the children.      Through the programme students engaged 50 children of Kuruba community, understood their level of financial awareness and learnt the better ways of reaching such children with practical examples.    The beneficiaries in tu...
