Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights –Scope and Relevance was organised by Intellectual Property Rights cell of PIM on 28th July 2022. Dr. Balika Prashanth, Vice Principal, SDM Law College and Centre for PG Studies and Research in Law degrees, Mangalore was the resource person for the workshop. Dr. Balika explained the concept of Intellectual property rights ,it’s specific application to business and it’s relevance for MBA students with appropriate industry related examples. The programme was attended by both 1st year and 2nd Year MBA students along with faculty members. Dr. Krishna Kothai, the coordinator of PCRD was also present on the occasion. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Bharathi Karanth, the faculty incharge of IPRs Cell. Dr. Bharath presided over the programme. Mr.Sampath S Jogi, Ms.Geetha, Ms.Sharvari, Ms.Pratibha , second year MBA students conducted the programme.

Placement training for 1st year and 2nd year MBA students was conducted by Mr. Ramani Venkat on 28th July 2022 at Prajna Hall. Mr. Ramani Venkat, NLP Trainer and serial entrepreneur was the resource person. He enlightened students about the preparations students need to make in order to get placed in good companies. He spoke about the importance of a right attitude in getting better placements. Hunger for getting good placements drives students towards taking up the opportunities he stated. He also spoke about the skills and aptitude students need to possess in getting themselves placed. This placement talk was attended by all the students and teaching staff of PIM. Dr. Bharath V director of PIM presided over the program. This programme was coordinated by faculty member of PIM, Dr. Bharathi Karanth. Ms.Sakshi Shetty of 2nd year MBA conducted the programme.

  The Business Plan presentation round of Prajna Vaibhavam activity began on June 30, 2022 . To begin with the second year students presented their Business Plans . During the inaugural session of Business Plan presentation that was held on June 30, 2022, three Teams from second year MBA i.e. Team G , Team H , and Team Fpresented their respective Business Plans . PIM faculty members Prof. Santhosh N Prabhu and Prof. Shivanand M Bhandarkar judged the performance of the Teams . Professor Emeritus and PCRD coordinatorDr. Krishna Kothai was present during the presentations and gave useful feedback about the performance of the students. Director of the Institute Dr. Bharath V and all the faculty members were present on the occasion. Mr. Saveen H J performed the role of time keeper and Mr. Savin S Kumar compered the whole programme.

  Sports Club  of  PIM  has celebrated ‘ International Yoga Day: 2022 ’ at the Institute on  June 21, 2022 . Director of the Institute  Dr. Bharath V , Principal of Poornaprajna College  Dr. Raghavendra A , honourable Administrative Officer of Admar Mutt Education Council, Udupi  Dr. A P Bhat ,  Prof. K Sadashiva Rao , former principal PPC and the present head of Pathanjali Yoga Samithi, Udupi and PED of PIM  Mr. Sukumar  were the guests of honour. Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries highlighted the significance of Yoga in maintaining good health. Prof. K Sadashiva Rao and Mr. Sukumar demonstrated and taught the students of the Institute a few important  YOGASANA  that will help them to remain fit and healthy. Sports club student coordinator from second year MBA  Ms. Namitha compered the entire programme.

IQAC, in association with Training and Placement Cell of PIM, has conducted ‘Career Guidance Programme’ for the final year degree students of PPC, Udupi. Different batches of final year degree students of PPC participated in the programme on July 22, 2022 at Prajna Hall of the Institute. Speaking on the occasion, Director of PIM Dr. Bharath V briefed the students about the options available in the field of higher education after graduation. IQAC coordinator and Associate Professor of PIM Dr. Naveen Kumar K R told the students about the benefits of pursuing Professional Masters Degree like MBA in shaping the career of the students. Placement Officer and Assistant Professor Mr. Shivanand M Bhandarkar informed the students about the job opportunities available to them on completing the professional degree like MBA. More than 200 final year degree students from PPC participated in the programme that was held on July 22, 2022.

  Prajna Vaibhavam session: 21-07-2022 The third round of Business Plan presentation of Prajna Vaibhavam was held on July 21, 2022 . The last two teams from second MBA – Team D and Team A presented their respective Business Plans . Faculty members Dr. Bharathi Karanth and Prof. Shivanand M Bhandarkar were the judges during the presentation. Professor Emeritus and PCRD coordinator Dr. Krishna Kothai was present during the students’ presentation and gave useful feedback for further improvement. Director of the Institute Dr. Bharath V and all other faculty members were present during the presentation of the students. Students from first MBA Ms. Shrinidhi Nagaraj Bhat maintained timing of the presentation and Mrs. Shruthi Raj compered the entire programme.
