Industrial visit to Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd.

A two day Industrial visit to Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd., Kaiga was conducted on 4th & 5th of April 2019 for the students of II MBA.  The aim of the industrial visit was to get the students exposed to industry practices and applications which would help them to become pragmatic and effective managers.  A total of 48 students along with Faculty Co-coordinators Mr. Joe Ashwin Correa & Mrs. Sujatha G.L. were part of the Industrial Visit. The visit started with a detailed explanation of the plant layout through a 3D model by Mr. Aldrin D'souza, P.R.O.,  which was very interesting and educative. This was followed by a Presentation by Deputy Manager -HR Mr. Jegan J. who briefed the students on current HR practices and the relevance of the same during the recruitment process in any organization. Workshop on Yoga

Dr. Srikanth Rao, Associate Professor, Kannada Department of Poornaprajna College, Udupi conducted a workshop on Yoga and Stress Management to the students of Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 16-4-2019. He dwelt in detail all the principles of yoga and conducted practice sessions on Meditation. The programme was well appreciated by the students. Director of the Institute Dr. Bharath presided over the function.

Anti -Ragging Cell of PIM organises Human Chain at PIM to create Anti-Ragging Awareness

Anti Ragging Cell of PIM organized a human chain at PIM to create awareness about Anti-Ragging on 15th April 2019.  Students of both first year and second year MBA along with all the teaching and Non-teaching staff were part of this human chain.  Human Chain was formed with a pledge to unite for the creation of a ragging free campus.  Dr. Bharath V delivered a keynote address at the occasion.  Anti-ragging squad members guided the students on creating a healthy relationship to have a better learning atmosphere.  Professor Emeritus Dr.Krishna Kothai, Dean Dr.Sureshramana Mayya briefed the students about the necessity of having healthy and cordial relationships between the students.  The programme was organized by Dr.Bharathi Karanth, the member of the Anti-ragging cell  of PIM
