Prajna Vaibhavam Kick started at Poornaprajna Institute of Management

"Prajna Vaibhavam", the intra institute series of competition was being held for the benefit of the students of Poornaprajna Institute of Management on 30.08.2018. The programme was held at Prajna Hall of the Institute. This was the annual event of the Institute.  After the initial remarks by the Director of the Institute, Dr. Bharath the inaugural session of Prajna Vaibhavam began with Debate Competition conducted by the students. Four teams consisting of six members each from second-year MBA debated on two topics - "Is India ready for Cashless Economy and "Is Indian Economy Growing faster with GST?" PIM Faculty undergo Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting

Mr. Shivananda Bhandarkar and Mr. Santhosh N Prabhu underwent 3 days training in "Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting at Mangalore Padeshwar fire station premises from 27-08-2018 to 29.08.2018. Development is inevitable, but urbanization and skyscrapers in the state create a convenience but lot of contingences like flood, gas leak, artificial flood, disaster manmade as well as nature. In this regard, Government of India took several measures based on its past experience. It has made it mandatory for 40 per cent of any institution must undergo Fire Fighting training in firefighting, disaster management and rescue. In this case, two senior faculties – Sri Santhosh Prabhu and Mr. Shivanand Bhandarkar have been deputed by the Institute. They undergone the training from 27-08-2018 to 29-08-2018.

VISIT TO OZANAM-OLD AGE HOME AT KALLIANPUR, UDUPI.

The HR forum of Poornaprajna Institute of Management visited the old age nursing home- OZANAM at Kallianpur, Udupi on 28 th September 2018. During the visit the 12 students from HR specialisation along with the faculty in-charge Mr.Joe Ashwin Correa interacted with the elderly, seeking information regarding their good old days and about their present-day to day routine. Some of the elderly also shared their experiences with the students individually which was a good experience. The students also conducted spot games and activities to bring in some smiles on the old and tired faces. The inmates participated wholeheartedly and showed an excellent sportive spirit during these 2 hours. At the end, the Superior of the Old age home thanked the students for the noble initiative and blessed the students for the great sacrifice.
